How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Location was great for work but too far from town for anyone not driving
I was working on the airport so great location. Comfy rooms. Nice bar/restaurant area. Good coffee at breakfast

Nice hotel located at the airport. Breakfast is excellent. Staf is very friendly and helpful. Parking is in the front of the hotel.

The breakfast was rather modest. When we came to the breakfast there was no eggs left and the staff didn’t seem to be planning to refill it. The check in process was rather slow.
The location is good for an intermediate stay. The room is good as well. Overall it’s ok for the money.

Walking to the room required passing an elevator and then two big emergency doors, before getting to the room itself. With luggage and kids that’s not always easy. On the other hand if you’re without luggage you can easily climb short stairs. Also there is no cleaning service outside morning hours. A glass broke in the room and I had to clean it myself. But it wasn’t such a big deal so it’s ok.
The staff are very accommodating and helpful. A very personal and kind attitude that made it a pleasant stay. The room was big and clean. The fact that the front desk is in a restaurant added a nice vibe. The food at the restaurant was good.

We got two single beds who were very narrow. The location is near a small airport and there is some (not loud) noise because of it.
The rooms are good, the breakfast is very tasty and satisfying. The rhotel is clean and cozy. The staff is super nice and very friendly!

There were almost no vegetarian options in the restaurant.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was comfortable for our family. We enjoyed our stay!

A bit far from the town. Because it is located on the premises of an old airport, it has its own charm.
Very friendly personnel. They offered elaborate breakfast and a very nice grill restaurant for dinners. They even had in-house brewed beer, which really tasted awesome.

The doors in the floor make quite some noise when people pass through and the doors fall into their frame.
Easy going place. It is at the end of a road and you almost don't expect anything there, least a hotel with integrated restaurant, somewhat in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is sandwiched between the airport and a more or less busy road. My room was towards the airfield, as there are no flights during the night it was quite quiet from the outside. Breakfest was very good.

We stopped twice at this hotel on our bike trip as it meet our needs for clean room, safe storage space for the bikes and good food. On the ground floor there is the Galloway restaurant were we had a delicious dinner and a really good included breakfast.

Given how clean and upmarket the room was, it seemed out of place as an Australian/New Zealander to have a separate bidet but no bathtub. Also the shower cubicle was quite small considering they assigned space to a bidet. Of course bidets are more common in local culture so understandable but as a foreigner it seemed an odd choice.
The property was extremely clean, nice breakfast included in our stay, baby cot available upon request and we had a beautiful view of the mountains. Staff were welcoming and happy to speak to us in English when our Italian was lack-lustre.

The facility, location, view, and the staff were amazing. It was really worth it and I was amazed it was just a 3 star hotel, it should be a 4 star hotel at least. We had a very pleasant stay and I would like to thank everybody and specially Daniel, Davida, and Andrea for their kindness and help.
