The room was very cramped. The shower was old, small, was patched up with some paste and didn’t look pleasant. It worked well though and had lots of hot water.

The location was very good. The hotel as such and the facilities were well kept. Beautiful pool. Nice breakfast.

We didn't like that we had to leave the keys to our car at the reception during night. It was nowhere mentioned before booking, and that kind of surprised us.

The balcony of the room had an amazing view of the sea but there was no privacy.

Excellent breakfast. The hotel staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. The best part of this hotel was the location. It is situated on the beach with incredible views.

Beautiful location and interesting coastlines to explore in both directions. Hotel is very comfortable, good value for money and excellent staff in every department. Special shout-out to dining room team - tireless, good-humoured & responsive.

In economy room the balcony and view is poor, although the room is larger than in see-view room. The shower cabin is rather small. For breakfast we would wish also fresh vegetables (e.g. tomatoes, cucumbers). The restaurant is ok.

The hotel is situated in the beautiful spot just on the beach with clean water surrounded by mountains. Beach with fine pebble and clean water. Swiming pool with free umbrellas just 50m to the sea. Very friendly and careful staff. Clean rooms. Minibar. Good breakfast.

Nice location with private beach. We had a room with direct sea view that was amazing. The breakfasts weren’t varied but it did not spoil the overall impression.

I have nothing negative to say!

This is a wonderful hotel. It is located on a stunning shoreline with views of the sea and the imposing cliffs of Acquafredda. The beach is rocky, and they have beach umbrellas and chairs available to rent. You can walk along the beach to the north and check out the different rock formations, and to the south to see more views and forest. The sea was nice and warm for swimming. They also have a lovely pool with beautiful landscaping. Our room had an excellent view of the sea and the cliffs. The food is OUTSTANDING! They show you the fresh fish, such as a huge swordfish, and then you order it. We stayed 5 nights, and we needed that much time to sample all of their delicious food. The breakfast is a complete spread of rolls, croissants, cereal, fruit, juices, cappuccino made to order, hard boiled eggs, and more. The service is IMPECCABLE. Above all, the service is what made our stay so special. For example, they helped us book an excursion from the port. They also have free parking. Thank you Hotel Gabbiano, we will be back!

We stayed in a room for 3 persons. The spring mattress of the extra bed is outdated; it definitely needs a new mattress or at least a cover mattress to make it comfortable.

The location was superb! Lovely beach, seawater and a beautiful clean pool. The AC in the rooms was much needed, as it worked very well. The maid did a beautiful job in tidying up daily. Thank you!

The sea view was AMAZING! If we missed something in a hotel, we totallt forgot about it just after looking to the view. Worth to come and stay for few days for sure. The beach is great and the view - THE VIEW.

Great location at the sea, good restaurant with terrace, nice and friendly staff. Qui et. Near the historic Centre of Maratea (by car) Good hiking possibilities.
