When we arrived I was told that the bar was closed until the following evening. Later I asked if it was possible to get anything to drink and was toll l d there was an honesty bar. This information was not volunteered at the start. No tea and coffee in the room- I would expect this as standard.

Fruit juices should be better for a 4-star hotel.

Perfect location. Pleasant atmosphere and tastefully decorated room. Good breakfast (8/10), fair selection of food. Overall really very good value for money.

The mattress in the room was not comfortable and we woke up with back pain. The hotel needs to check some small details, for example, there were not disposable toothbrushes which are very convenient for short stays.

We received excellent customer care from Francesca and Simone at reception. Everything was correct and we felt almost like home.

The location was excellent, close enough to all the attractions but in a quieter area. There were plenty of bars & restaurants nearby & a short walk to the pier. The staff were simply wonderful especially the hotel Barman Walter, who kept us entertained & was a delight.

No iron in the room so we had to use the in hotel service which was very expensive, mini bar was advertised but empty in the room.

The hairdryer needs more wattage, a box of tissues would have been nice so I wouldn’t have to use toilet paper to blow my nose and remove eye makeup. Because it was Saturday night, the pedestrian traffic outside on the street was very loud making it hard to get to sleep.

Everything was clean, beautiful, and unique! I liked the different decor in every room, lots of Murano glass, beautiful tiles, polite staff, and little touches like the Terry cloth robe, slippers, toiletries, and plenty of electrical outlets for charging phones and iPads. The garden terrace was beautiful just outside my room!

The staff are kind, gracious and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us with train reservations that we did not know how to make and helped with arranging porters and taxis. All was done with good humor and grace. They made our stay exceptional. Breakfast was tasty and a joy to eat in the courtyard.

Some male staff in reception with unneccesary negative attidude towards the one woman in the family. Did not like to get the answer to a simple question "Woman you need to relax". My husband did not experience this attitude. Housekeeping was not good until we complained. Please note - other staff was very friendly and polite.

Amazing location in the heart of Venice. Lovely room, a little small for a family of 4 though. Lovely staff who were very helpful in booking restaurants, advising us on travel etc. The small pool was a real bonus for the kids after a hot day sightseeing!

Updates would have been nice.

The location was great for us. It seemed to be in a “central” location, we could easily access anywhere in a short amount of time. The room had a lot of old character, but it could use some updates. Breakfast was adequate.
