Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was nothing we didn't like.
Everything about our stay at the Golden Tower Hotel was magical: staff, location, quality, breakfast, etc. I cannot imagine a better base for a stay in Florence.

Room was a little dark. Jacuzzi bath needs a step to get into and out off.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for attractions.

It was an absolutely pleasing experience of staying at Golden Tower Hotel & Spa! The staffs are highly professional and proactively helping guests. They provide key information such as great restaurants and other important knowledge (e.g. doctor speaking Enhlish). The room was beautiful and very comfy, it nelted my fatigue away every day after many hours of walk to explore the beautiful city. No noise issue so you can sleep like a baby. Breakfast was provided until 10 30am so that you can have lazy morning. And Spa! This lovely facility is a gem that you must not miss. Saunas, special showers, and warm pool offer perfect healing and bring amazing energy back! I will be definitely coming back to this hotel without a doubt.

The controls for the air conditioning were not working. I could not control fan or change temperature of room. I informed the front desk, but I think they were unable to resolve.

Can’t think of anything.
The hotel was excellent in all areas. The room was charming and well decorated with modern and efficient fixtures and bathroom. The entire hotel was calming and spotless. The breakfast was first rate. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Everyone spoke English. I also heard other language spoken. The location is in walking distance of all the main attractions and the station. Surrounded by good restaurants and upmarket shops. I would not recommend driving, go by tram from the airport or train and walk the short distance.

I asked the receptionist for the house keeping not to enter my room or clean it. Because there wasn’t DO NOT DISTURB sign. She told me okay but when I came back they apologized for me that she “forgot” to tell the housekeeper entered the room anyway! I didn’t like that at all ! The pillows weren’t comfortable There was noice down the street at night after 12:00 am! No cold AC

Breakfast was not to standard of other hotels we had stayed in but was ok. Breakfast staff very friendly. Some nights (weekend) there was significant street noise. Didn't bother us too much but might bother others. Along young people gathering and drinking in the streets.
Location was excellent. Staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful.

The only minor thing they should improve is the food choices for the breakfast.
The staff were very friendly, the location is very good and almost near to all tourism cities. The facilities are very good, the room size is perfect compared to europe hotel rooms
