Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Too close to main road. Traffic and noise may be disturbing especially at night.

It was clean but some spots were full of dust. Room had a few problems. We could not open the windows. Air conditioner didn't work all the time.
Very good location and a fair price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tasty and fresh breakfast buffet.

Rooms look a bit old noise of traffic outside

No reservation for parking for guests of the hotel. No access to the parking from the hotel, you have to go outside on the street and then ring a bell or ask the reception, but they are very polite and efficient. Maybe some door from the lobby in the future. No gym. We didn't have "Do Not Disturb Sign" in the room.
Staff is polite and professional. Easy check in. Location is very good. Breakfast was good and not crowded. WIFI was good. Room size is very decent. Parking with few spots, but private.

The room I had was like none of the photos. I still slept well but was more old school than expected
Good location close to main station and very short walk to town centre with its main attractions. The breakfast was decent as well

Though the Hotel Golf is in Florence, the price we payed seemed excessive, both for the quality of the room and for the location. We were there in late October, which is apparently still "high season." The staff was courteous enough but had a slight big-city "edge."
The Hotel is conveniently located for train travel, an easy 10 minute walk from the train station, and also convenient for Tram transport to the airport. It is within a quarter mile of the Tram stop. The Golf is well kept and clean, and the price includes a nice breakfast. The neighborhood is outside of central, old-town Florence, and slightly removed from the biggest 'crush' of tourists. Plenty of restaurants and cafes are in walking distance, as are the old town and both sides of the Arno. For opera buffs, it is close to the new Florence Opera House - the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Theatre.

Busy main road would not have been our choice if staying longer than one night.
Only stayed one night at short notice to avoid a train strike. Room was good, breakfast was good, staff were good. Location was convenient for train station, buses and trams.

It is not possible to go to attractions by walking
Breakfast wasa excellent. Staff was helpful and explaining well. Location was a bit far to the attractions but the bus stop and train station and shuttle for outlet shopping center was very close.

No iron available at hotel. Very small shower and Shower head fixed above. Not great if you do not wish to wash your hair!

Would have been nice to have a stand in the shower to hold toiletries, there was nothing. I stayed for 4 nights and the breakfast menu was the same on all 4 days. It would have also been nice to have complimentary water or tea/ water kettle in the room but there was nothing.
The hotel isn't too far from the train station, Marco at the reception was very friendly and so was the other person. My room had a balcony but its wall was way too high and I couldn't see anything from there. Maybe it was a smoking section.

It's located 7-10 minutes walking distance from the main train station which is convenient. The room was spacious with comfy beds and the bathroom was ok too. They have a nice breakfast. Very good closet space. Very friendly staff.
