Air conditioning needs to be on in hot weather , fitness area to be updated & inside pool area

As it was early April we used the indoor pool which looked a bit run down, dirty and was also quite badly signposted. The hotel was a bit of a rabbit warren. As with all hotels, the walls were paper thin and it was noisy in the morning and late evening. The room was expensive and there were minor things that I felt were lacking. There were only 2 pillows on the bed, I could have asked for another one I guess but for 2 nights it wasn't worth it. There were no robes, we did ask for those and they took over half an hour and a second call to reception to arrive. The complementary bottles of water were not replenished after the first day. I was surprised there was no tea or coffee facility. I don't necessarily want to wait for room service for if I fancy a cup of tea - I am English after all 😂 As I said all minor issues but they sometimes make a big difference to the overall quality of the stay.

The architecture of the building is wonderful, late 19th century. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. We had a side room with a balcony overlooking the the outdoor swimming pool and the lake to the right. The room was great, clean and spacious, with a sofa and 2 comfortable chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a descent size There was plenty of hanging space and coat hangers. I enjoyed the curtain options we could have light ones for privacy during the day, heavier ones at night or a black out blind if we needed.

I personally didn't like breakfast too much. There was a huge variety of food but the quality was just ok. I would have preferred a cappuccino a croissant and fresh orange juice in a higher quality. In fairness, they have fresh orange juice. I believe they just adapted the buffet to the type of clientele who is used to filling their plates with mountains of food no matter what. I think breakfast was around 29 euros per person. I also found it strange that in the pool changing room there was no shower. Plus, access to the tiny tiny sauna had an extra charge. We were too early into the season to enjoy the outdoor spaces.

Great location 15 Min walking from restaurants and main attractions. On a good day of sun you can see isola bella from the windows. They have a pool and sauna. Good value for money

The hotel was old and needs a freshner- it had a stale smell.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. Make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before 10am because they shut down immediately at 10am.

During our stay, the hotel had 2 different tours staying and the dining room was partioned in to 3, one for each group and 1 for individual travellers. This meant that there was zero atmosphere in the dining area with maybe 6 other guests in a large room. Breakfast was the same but the tour parties seem to get there first. The whole hotel seemed to revolve around tour parties and that spoilt the expperience for us.

The air conditioning was not so good but most in the area I’m sure will be the same.

The staff were all fantastic, the location, car parking is great too. The pool facility was good however I did not use the indoor pool so, can’t comment on that.

There was just one thing missing: tea and coffee making facilities in the room. This is surprising as most other hotels have this.

It was a beautiful and well located hotel. I'd rate it as a 5 star. The decor and furniture were beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Location is great, view of the lake is amazing. Pure delight, one of the best views I could see. Rooms are great. Free parking across the hotel.

Sound isolation of the room could be better (noisy neighbours)

We got an upgrade and had a room with a view on the lake and Isola Bella. Very friendly staff. Terrific breakfast buffet.

It just lacked some basics. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Paper cups to drink from in room. The gym had half a dozen pieces of equipment and three of them were broken. The inside pool was good but a little dirty . The cost of breakfast was £25 each so for a family of four not worth it . The food at restaurant was ok nothing special. We decided to eat out most nights.

The location was superb and the view of the lake and islands from our balcony was wonderful. All the staff were excellent and very keen to help in anyway.

Everything was fine except that they took from me more money than I had on my booking reservation. First, I was about to come with my wife, but then our plans changed and I went alone, so I made a new reservation for a single room, which was much cheaper than a double. But somehow at the checkout I was still charged double, altough at the beginning of my stay the lady receptionist confirmed, that she will switch my tariff to single.

In the room we did not have slippers and towels, for a hotel with pool this would be great to have. The breakfast was not so exceptional. The minibar was empty. A bit too expensive for what it offers.

Very old fashioned, rooms must have been last fitted out pre year 2000. very poor value for money, for the price we paid we expect a lot more luxury and usually get it!

The breakfast is not very good I dont advise paying the additional payment for this. We would have loved to have a tea and coffee station in our hotel room but unfortunately this was not provided.

Too many mosquitos. They should put citronella candles around the property to reduce this.

Room configuration : no space between the desk and the bed Very small bathroom, old faucets. The toilets were too close to the sink. The swimming pool’s temperature : very cold Parking 19€ per night !

We had a room at the back. I think if you can't get a room with a lake view it's not really worth the money. Could have stayed somewhere in town with a better room for the same money. The outside swimming pool is unheated and really cold.
