A slice of the past, slightly faded reminded me of old Hollywood, with a selection of villas in lush gardens, fabulous beach, great sea bathing, good restaurant.

The bedroom would have looked better on arrival if the window shutters had been opened to take advantage of the night and the view.

A hotel of its period, elegant in style, with a good position overlooking the sea and with very easy access from the railway station and to the port. Own swimming pool and access to the beach. A good and convenient restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

The breakfast was cut short with the mass of bees that seem to be living somewhere very close to the eating area. Not a very nice experience on that front.

Nice location near the harbor with friendly staff. Very nice surrounding with a pool and beach access.

Breakfast was a little disappoinment, everything was in single packages and only fresh fruits were kiwis, bananas and perrys. Cheese and meat were out almost every morning, and we had to ask them more. Also what was surprising, that this was first hotel, where we had to pay extra per day, when wanted to use pool or beach! And it wasn't cheap! Kids were not allowed to play with ball at the pool...I even went to the frontdesk to ask about it, but it was forbidden!!! Come on! Also during our stay, there was a huge weddingparty at the hotel. We didn't get any information about that and walking in your beach clothes while others are in suits and gowns... I wished, the hotel would have given us information about the event beforehand.

Hotel was beautiful and outdoor areas and garden were in good shape. Air condition worked and showers were efficient. Scenery from our room was so beautiful, sea and sun!

There was the sound of water in our room all night. When I mentioned it the next day, they said they knew all about it. Why did they put us in that room? Very frustrating, but everything else was great!

probably it’s difficult to reconvert this old villas to more contemporary hotel standards, so I’d say sometime we had a feeling that the vibe was a bit ‘too old’ .. but nice after all!

Unfortunately the entrance to the private beach was only at extra costs. Furthermore, due to the dam that was built in the sea in front of the beach, the water was standing still, and therewith not clean and fresh but warm, not deep (so swimming was not really the case). The five villas were beautiful but the noise from the road that is next to it was louder than the sound of the sea.

The room was much smaller than indicated and the balcony consisted of two plastic chairs, so that was a bit disappointing. The breakfast outside had a really beautiful view, but the place suffered from wasps the moment we put our breakfast on the table.

Restaurant very disappointing. Little choice. Quality of food poor and very expensive for what we had. Staff could have been livelier and looked more happy.

Everything was super good, only the food was a bit less than we expected sometimes and the bathroom is rather small. Just a minor detail. Extra costs for the beach/swimmingpool though.

The location is suberb, they have little villa's with very comfortable (several) terraces, enough places to sit comfortable in the shadow, beautiful flowers everywhere. Its perfect for a few days to totally relax. Private beach is worth it. Didn't leave the hotel. Very friendly staff.

This charming grand old hotel is lovely and comfortable. It is easy to imagine days gone by here and families coming back generation after generation. Being off season we had the place to ourselves. The staff was outstanding particularly our waiter in the dining room who was gracious and kind.

The room with the twin beds was too hot- even with the a/c- the airflow was poor.

Such a beautiful property in a great location with beautifully decorated rooms. Great sea views. Spotlessly clean. The staff here are so friendly. Lovely buffet breakfast with something for everyone. We found out this was once residency to Queen Helena which would have been a beautiful place to live.
