Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandFrom the minute we arrived we were delighted with our choice of hotel. Even though it was a bit outside village they had shuttle bus to bring you to village/train station. Reception staff were fab and very helpful, Vincenco the driver was very nice. Patrizia, Tanya and Zaira in the Eden Spa were really great. Pool was fab. Restaurant staff were top professionals

United StatesThe only thing I would say is the pool was too cold to swim in. Heater would be nice as the pool area is beautiful.
Peaceful, relaxing, and secluded location. Away from the hustle and bustle of all the tourist traps! Breakfast was delicious, with an awesome view on the terrace. Restaurant was outstanding. The Bolognaise and lamb chops were delicious. The Maître D, Gennaro was awesome! Wonderful customer service. Attentive, kind, and amiable staff. Everyone greeted us with a smile and we’re very warm. The spa was great! Loved our stay! We didn’t want to leave.

New ZealandThe only negative we have is the beds were quite hard.
Breakfast was a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. The views from the rooftop terrace are the best start to your day. The food was fresh, coffee good and freshly squeezed orange juice delicious. Staff were so friendly and could not have done more to help us during our stay. The gardens were a lovey place to relax with a cold drink and just enjoy the peace. Pool was not too busy and never struggled to get a lounger.

BrazilThose are minor points, but worth mentioning: During my stay (5 days in September) the hotel had 3 weddings on the property (on 3 different days). It did not harm my experience but until 22h there was loud music that entered the rooms, and the parking lot got a bit crowded. Also, the breakfast options were the same every day (good quality, though) and the restaurant staff was not as attentive as the front desk.
The hotel is among one of the most beautiful ones I have ever visited. I felt like a princess in a wonderful castle. The garden is very well maintained, the common areas are astonishing, and the rooms are well decorated as well. The front desk is super helpful and overall service is really good. Would definitely come back to spend some relaxing time.

United KingdomThe only comment I can make here is that the hotel is 20 - 30 minuets walk from the nearest town centre along a not very pleasant road. Not dangerous, just no footpath in places or alongside a busy main road. There is an hotel shuttle but it is not very frequent. It would be good if it could run more often since a taxi for the mile or so into town costs €15 - €20. Warning, be wary or taxis in the Naples area as they will try to rip you off. Agree the price before you start and still expect to be overcharged.
This is luxurious hotel with large comfortable rooms. We had a room with a view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The hotel has a first class restaurant although the menu is a bit limited if you intend to eat there every night. Breakfast is a fantastic buffet on the roof with views in all directions.

United KingdomI really can’t fault it. We had an issue with ants in the bathroom on the first night. This was dealt with professionally by staff who offered alternative rooms until it’s was cleaned next morning. The hotel location would require a car to get to nearby venues and beaches.
The staff were exceptional. They always went the extra mile to help and make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The hotel facilities are excellent. The gardens are impressive and the bar / seating areas are perfect for evening drinks. We enjoyed the breakfast on the rooftop which had amazing views of the sea and mountains. We had couple of dinners at the hotel restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service provided. We also recommend trying the spa facilities and massage. The gala dinner and live music were a nice gesture. Although we only missed the dinner itself as we returned late from a day trip, we enjoyed the dessert and live music.

LatviaThe location was a little inconvenient. It took quite a long time to reach the nearest village on foot. But if a car is rented, then it is already different. Taxis were expensive to use just to get to and from the village.
At the pool, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, you can enjoy a peaceful rest very well. The breakfast was not rich, but you could eat well. The room is small but comfortable. As we spent little time in the room itself, it was good enough. The territory of the hotel is fabulously beautiful and the staff excellent. Thanks, definitely recommend!
