Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBed was old and uncomfortable and hotel is a bit old and smells a bit of rundown. Long uphill walk to old town but there are transport options available
Free easy parking for a stay in Perugia. Good choice for breakfast. With a car it’s a good base to visit oriveto, Assisi and Spello on day trips

United StatesThe bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were extra hard. I couldn’t properly sleep for two nights we stayed in the hotel.
The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. The parking was included in the room price. Hotel is close to Minimetro that brings you to the center of Old Perugia. Hotel decoration is unique.

PolandThe stay at the hotel was very successful. Extremely polite and friendly people working at the reception. We were able to book the room a few hours before check-in at no extra cost. Rooms clean and well-kept.There was no problem with extending the stay until 7 p.m.Jazz and wine lovers can feel comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves very exquisite dishes at affordable prices. We will definitely go back there

HungaryOur room faced the city, but since it was on the first floor, we could only see a gas station.
The hotel is not in the city center, but there is a mini-metro station nearby, which makes it easy to get to the sights. It is also practical that there is a supermarket next to the hotel. The room is a good size and has interesting extras related to the jazz theme, such as a CD player on the wall. I also haven't come across a massage tub in any other hotel. There is also a pool on the roof terrace. The staff is professional and helpful.

Easy free parking. Good selection of food for breakfast (and jazz music in the background is just a bonus). The swimming pool on the roof is good for relaxation after "climbing" to and from the city. But there is also a mini-metro line close to the hotel, so you don't have to walk (at least uphill - downhill it is quite a nice walk from the city center to the hotel).

United KingdomThe hotel was a bit out of town and with the mini metro not open until 14th August this was not good as it meant, because it is a long walk uphill, taxis back and forth to the centre of Perugia

PolandIt is a pity that after 9:00 the very good local breakfast dishes were not replenished.
A stylish room with a comfortable bed, a massage chair and a CD player with jazz music. Equipped with air conditioning, safe and small fridge. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast, great wine which could be ordered at the bar by the reception. Large two-level car park. Nice location for hiking in Perugia, but access to the center is uphill :) There is a grocery store and an ice cream shop near the hotel.

The room in the Jazz area has been great, very big with special optional: a CD with Jazz Music and the best thing was the massage chair. This is a dream comes true!!

CroatiaQuite expensive as everything in Perugia during the festival. They should play more than one jazz video on the TVs in the hallway. So you don't hear the same music all over again.
Breakfast is excellent, pretty versatile. Cakes are tasty, there is some variety of cerials and nuts. Room is good. Not too far from the centre and concerts, although the way to the centre is pretty steep and it was 37 Celsius outside. Pool is nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is abundant.
