To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe drinks were expensive, cocktails were 16 Euro each on the rooftop. There was a few couples who came and had one drink then left. If the drinks were more reasonable then there may have been a better atmosphere.
The hotel was centrally located, rooms were spacious, staff were very professional and pleasant.

the breakfast offered is typical Italian breakfast with many sweets to choose from. The lobby and bar area are well beautiful, and great to spend time at. The room as it is big as booked and suitable for a family to stay in. The location is perfect, and only 5 mins walking distance from Rome termini and many restaurants nearby to choose from.

The location worked really well for us. We got a super quick train from the airport (just over 30 minutes) and the hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the station. The Colosseum is a 20 minute walk. The hop on hop off buses, leave from outside the station. The staff are brilliant. The rooms are excellent! The bed was was so comfortable, with outstanding bedding. The toiletries were plentiful and of a high quality. We never waited more than a minute for a lift. Breakfast was excellent. They had a gluten free section, which was impressive! Bacon, scrambled egg, frankfurter type sausages, meat, cheeses, breads, fruit salad, cereals - just a great selection. This is a gorgeous hotel and should we return to Rome, we will come to this hotel again, without hesitation.

The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a wide variety of items. The coffee machines were in good shape and functioned well.
