The breakfast was not particularly good, especially the pastries and the coffee.

The location was ideal near the ferry boat and the center of Como. The staff was particularly helpful and kind. The room was extremely well cleaned daily.

The bed was uncomfortable, as they placed 2single beds next to each other, despite requesting a double bed upon booking. They were not the same height. The shower was very small. We had to request a kettle to make some coffee, but they did accommodate us.

The room could use some updating.

Perfect location, friendly and efficient staff, hearty breakfast spread. Limited hotel parking so we parked a few blocks in a parking garage which was less than a 5 minute walk. Staff gave excellent directions. We parked in front of the hotel to unload first. Communicating with the hotel while we were enroute was very easy.

There was construction on the other side of the street, so during the day it was a bit noisy.

We could hear the music from the dinning room early in the morning and into the evening from our room which was directly above the dinning room.

Very clean traditional hotel with lovely staff. The cleaning service was exceptional.

The bedroom was not to the standard expected. It has been redecorated but whomever advised was not practical and the new modern furnishings do the traditional style an injustice. The principle 'less is more' would apply. Towels were hard. They look nice, waffle look but not soft or practical to use. The toilet is too close to the wall and one knocks one's arm on the toilet roll holder. No where to put toiletries or hang clothes up whilst showering.

The staff are the hotels greatest asset. So friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. The dining room and lounge very pleasant. We had a lovely view of the lake, shopping area, garden and ice rink.

Actually everything was very, very good. Despite to hard circumstances, you everything managed perfect. We liked even the breakfast (with wide choice of food) with lake straight behind from the window, we felt safe. And the amazing boardwalks for access to the hotel saved us from walking through deep water. Hotel location is perfect, under normal circumstances near the lake with fantastic view, but this time in the lake :) still with the fantastic view.

Menu for restaurant in hotel for evening meals was not impressive (we ate there our 1st night)

Location was great; there happened to be a wine festival right in the plaza in front of the hotel; we had a lake view room was very special; excellent included buffet breakfast each morning

GETTING TO the Hotel was a problem. No taxis or busses at the train station. The Desk not too well informed about transportation. We hiked downhill from the train station, thinking there would be a taxi stand or bus at the bottom; there was not. The Desk informed us that we could walk to the Hotel - AFTER - we hiked back up the hill! We did.

Our room, overlooking the Lake, was wonderful! Especially the bathroom! We are not used to BOTH a tub and a shower; both were used.
