Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIt's a steep walk to and from Roma Termini station and the hotel - this made walking from the station with luggage a little challenging.
The accommodation was clean and I felt very comfortable. Great price for the facilities provided.

United KingdomWhile we stayed, they were refurbishing . Although , the place was kept clean and staff ensured there was minimal disruption .
The location was great , close to Termini Station . Some nice little coffee shops close by , a convience store 2 doors away and a short walk to The Basicilla Santa Maria Maggiore . The staff were great , friendly , professional and helpful. We had a room with a patio which was lovely to relax on and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine . The rooms were clean , lovely comfortable beds and the bathrooms were modern and bright . We didn't have the breakfast , but all the guests we spoke to praised it very highly and said it was lovely .

CanadaSome construction was going on; hotel staff accommodated us by assigning room far away from the construction. But even so, we are sensitive to the dust and have allergies during our stay. Communication is the key, be nice to the staff.
The room was newly renovated! The staff was great… we talked to the manager, Barbara, and she was helpful and listened attentively to our concerns. Things were immediately improved upon our return. Location is great with lots of my favourite restaurants around.

United States of AmericaHad to wait for 20 minutes to check out. I would have preferred to settle the bill the night before so we could have just left in the morning. It is understandable that the morning is a busy time so there needs to be a way of expediting the check out. Other hotels do it. The ongoing renovations
We were given a large room with windows looking out to the street. We have stayed at Hotel Rafaello before in the same class of room and on this stay the room was much larger. The heated tile floor in the bathroom was fantastic for a stay in February.

ItalyThe bidet did not work well on Day 1 (though the staff was very helpful and helped us resolve the issue as soon as possible). The hotel is undergoing some construction work so it is a bit noisy during the day and that interrupts your afternoon nap (if you like taking those).
The room was cozy and the staff was polite and helpful. The location was the best selling point as it was walking distance from the major attractions in Rome (especially the Colosseum and the Roman Forum). There were many good food options around the hotel as well, which included the cafe next door, the osteria down the road and an amazing Korean food restaurant (if you stay for a long duration, give this restaurant a visit for sure!). Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

United States of AmericaA nice little hotel situated in a perfect location, within 15 minutes walking distance of most major tourist attractions. The room was nice and comfortable, except we couldn’t get the heater to turn down and they couldn’t really fix it. The staff is super nice and helpful. The breakfast is superb.

CanadaBreakfast at the hotel was quite expensive. If light breakfast (coffee/croissants etc) is what you need, there are many coffee bars nearby at a much more reasonable price.
Excellent Location - within walking distance to the Termini Station which is great for those arriving by train. The Roman Forum, Colosseum and Capitoline Museum are all within walking distance. Numerous coffee bars and restaurants and a few grocery stores are very close to the hotel. Very spacious room (as pictured on booking.com). Facilities are very clean. The exterior of the hotel was under renovation but that didn't bother me at all as I rather spent my time exploring the city during the day. Staff members are extremely friendly and helpful - which made my stay particularly pleasant.

United States of AmericaHotel is undergoing some major renovations, and there is some construction noise and plastic sheeting. However, this wasn’t a major issue.
Perfect location just a few minutes’ walk from Roma Termini. The hotel and rooms are super clean. Staff is friendly and multilingual, and even let me check in an hour early. The breakfast was amazing! Hot and cold options, freshly squeezed orange juice, and espresso made by request. The “family room” suite faces an interior area, which was perfect for keeping the room dark after an international flight when I really needed to sleep.
