Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The bathroom was a little dirty (there was hair in the sink, bidet, and shower that wasn’t ours. The air conditioning took a while to cool the room.
It is a beautiful historical room. The owner was great with communication. They gave our family an upgraded room. The price was great! It was walking distance to everything.

Amazing flat! Super attentive hosts. Had everything you need. Host gave many recommendations and it was an amazing flat to go back to after a long day of walking around the amazing city. P.s. really cute balcony onto the quiet street

*The Wi-Fi is very weak in our room. *Too many stairs to our room for us.

The room is very nice, spacious and decorated to a very high standard - the bathroom was amazing! Good location, close to the historic centre of Ragusa, very good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this host and the apartment.

The room was a bit small.
Great VFM. The room was clean and it was located in a nice area not too far from the city's old town. For the price it was amazing. Our host was kind and helpful.

Very helpfull host. Apartment located in a historical area in a renovated building, very close to Ragusa Ibla. Apartment itself is big, cosy and very clean. We do recommend it !

It was a little further from the centre than appeared, perhaps for the name.

Everything was as expected. The location was great, right in the town center which made it easy to visit by foot. Even parking the car was quite easy. The acomodation was comfortable, the room nicely decorated and perfectly clean. Sweet informations from Andrea and a worm welcome. A nice place to stay!

Small window without a view. No easy way to find free parking, fortunately, there is a private parking space 5 minutes away.
Cheap and decent option to explore Ragusa and the area. Small and clean room. Very kind hostess that gave us a lot of information.

You have to go up a lot of tiny stairs which makes it difficult with suitcases. Then during the night it was very noisy. We never meet the host it was a self-checkin.
It was very good located and clean, bed very comfortable.

Room was very humid, the only door (no windows) and the air-con wasn't enough to dissipate the humidity, expecially in the bathroom.. We try to hang some clothes to dry but was impossible. The room was on the ground floor so the door opened directly on the street, that was silent luckily, but to exit to smoke you have to go in the street, a little bit odd (not a problem if you aren't a smoker). Staff was precise and available but a little intrusive, infos are ok but don't try to organise other people's time!
Good position, spatious bathroom and room.

finding a parking place was very hard. while the description says it has free parking, all around the accommodation it is only for residents. other guests received some cards to park, we weren’t offered them. after driving all around for a bit, we had to leave the car 5 minutes away. being able to park close to the accommodation was very important for us, so we were disappointed by this situation.
the room was very clean and tidy. location just a short walk to the cathedral

The appartment is quite noisy, water noises at weird times at night. Also, you can hear the people upstairs walking. Ventilation is no good, should have forced ventilation.
The location is really good, really central location. They provide a parking permit which is really useful, parking is complicated if not. The bed is comfortable.

We were able to check in early. Andrea personally welcomed us and gave very detailed information about the city: what to do and where to go. The space is big with full room amenities and the location is perfectly located in the city center.
