Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

A bnb located in the street between via del corso and via del babuino near piazza del popolo. Central position, you could reach everything by foot. The room was good not so big but cosy and really nice. Maybe the bathroom should be more modern but its OK...

Purely a personal preference and wouldn’t deter me from staying there again, but there were a lot of scuff marks etc on the walls which made the room feel a little tired on closer inspection. HOWEVER, the room was spotless and, like I say, this is just me being very picky as everything else is perfect.
We booked Il Corso comfort rooms the morning of our arrival in Rome and the team were incredibly accommodating. I received a WhatsApp within minutes of booking with our check-in instructions etc. We checked in very late and everything went smoothly. The building itself is beautiful and our room was pleasant with a view into an enclosed courtyard. Everything you could need was in our room, including delicious croissants for the morning. Check-out was quick and the team were super friendly and assisted us with our bags to the car. Lovely little spot in a beautiful part of the city.

Having 4 different keys to get into property and the room. Hard to figure them out late at night. hahaha I could not figure out the TV, but there was a choice of YouTube and Netflix.
Really close to Termini Station, shops, restaurants, metro, and beautiful Santa Maria Maggiore church & Piazza. It is on the third floor of a large building and has quiet comfortable rooms. Windows onto the street with views of the Church.

I booked a surprise b'day trip for my bf. Il Corso was the perfect choice! The location, it was very comfy and spacious. It is very clean and a beautifully designed and decorated place. The Staff were so amazing! The level of service was of very high quality. They were extremely attentive, instant at responding and so very helpful. The location is perfect, it right in the centre and you can easily get to all attractions on foot. We really recommend this place. when back in Rome we will definitely return.

The only small negative point was that there was no milk for a cup of tea in the room.
The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent. We were even upgraded to a suite on the first night. Also, the communication was brilliant.

The lighting in the room was very dark, would have been good to have a brighter light by the mirror.
Fantastic location - close to shops, restaurants and attractions. Host super friendly and helpful. Clean, well equipped rooms.

Unfortunately, the room was available for one night only, I would’ve stayed one more day! I was able to travel around Rome and its center comfortably, with no public transport needed. Comfortable, clean, and modern room. Definitely coming back here for my next vacation in Rome.

Only thing we’d recommend is for the TV to not include only Italian content - also have internet options YouTube, Netflix etc. still a minor suggestion compared to our wonderful stay!
Everything was amazing! Perfect location and commodities, will definitely stay again when visiting Rome in the future!

The best thing about the property - apart from its location, design and tidiness - was the personalized attention. The concierge really went the extra mile to make our stay superb; he firstly reached us by WhatsApp prior to check in, gave the room at 12.30, help us with the luggage and called taxis from a super serious company each time we needed them.

Amazing location in the heart of Rome - right by Piazza del Popolo and 5 min walk to Piazza di Spagna. The staff was lovely and super helpful. The room was very clean and modern. We had everything we need. Big plus for the elevator in the building, which is not that popular in the center of Rome. :) Definitely coming back! Thank you!
