Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

- Our room was right in front of the breakfast area so in the morning we could hear people talking while we were still trying to sleep - From time to time, it was possible to hear the metro passing beneath the building (our room was the ground floor) - it didn't impact our sleep at all but maybe more sensitive people would not like that
- Staff is nice - Breakfast is nothing fancy but it was a good plus - Room was spacious and bed was comfortable - There is an external ground floor balcony and a small rooftop that can be used, for instance, to take the breakfast and it was very pleasant - Although the hotel is not from a walkable distance from city centre, there is a metro station 3 min away (2 stations from there to Termini and 4 to Colosseum)

The breakfast was a bit odd with very little space for guests to sit and eat. The shampoo and soap were not great. The shampoo was actually terrible and there was no conditioner.
The room was was large and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The location was lovely, not close into Rome, but a lovely area with lots of food options close by.

The lack of savoury food.
The breakfast was good but I’m not used to eating sweets for breakfast so I felt the need for something fresh like tomatoes, some cheese… but it was good nonetheless:)

It is not barrier free, too many stairs
The location is fantastic, comfortably equipped, and really quiet although it is located in the city center.

It was a little far from the centre - had to get metro in to the sights.
Lovely spacious room with pretty lights - shared balcony was lovely to have breakfast on. Breakfast was really yummy. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Staff still wears masks.
Great disponibility and friendliness of staff. Nice neighbourhood (bars, restaurants...) and very clean rooms. Room service is very attentive.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so you have to take some kind of public transportation to get there. Also, at night/in the morning there is some noise from the street and the metro.
We had a great stay in this small hotel. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy and the breakfast was simple but okay. We arrived very early in the morning and could already leave our luggage. Same for the departure day, when we could leave it there for the afternoon.

Our room requires some ongoing maintenance. A bedside shelf collapsed, this was promptly fixed by the staff. A window handle is insecure, the shower drain back flowed. I fixed the latter.
The enthusiastic and warm welcome and support of the in house staff. Paul was very responsive to all of your needs.

I stayed at the Suite Imperia Hotel for 4 nights and it was great :) The staff was really helpful and nice, the rooms were perfectly clean and the location is great because you reach the metro in 5 min walk. I would defintely recommend this accomodation.

Really nice staff, very helpful and kind and attentive. The room was very clean and the bed was nice to sleep in. Perfect location, close to the underground and super quick to get to termini and the city centre, surrounded with bars and local coffee shops. beautiful balcony with views. I would definetly recommend this place and will be staying here next time!
