No meals served in the evening so we walked down into Sorrento for them, which gave us a lots of choice. It was ok as it kept us fit and an acceptable trade off for the quietness and great views We could have taken the car down if we wanted but chose to walk.

My Friend and I loved everything about this Hotel. The room was the large and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious everyday we were there for a week. The Staff was outstanding. I found out it is Family owned and several of the family worked there. We even met the owner and she was a lovely Lady and very easy to speak to and so helpful. She was most days sitting in the Lobby. We felt like we were in a warm environment and well taken care of and safe. My friend and I still are talking about this Hotel and how much we loved Sorrento. We want to go back and if we did we would stay at the Hotel La Badia. I just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay !!!!! Caio for now, Kathy & Caren

Shuttle from hotel to the main city would be nice

Very minor things that wouldn’t put me off coming again - the bedroom window was very hard to open and close and the wardrobe door got stuck open, that was literally it! Everything else was perfect!

A beautiful property in a stunning location. I went here to relax in the sun and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English but the place didn’t feel too touristy, a little slice of Italy in an otherwise very touristy area. The pool was still open at the end of October and my room had a gorgeous view of the sea.

The window in our room was quite small and the bathroom was a bit of a squeeze, but for the price it was perfect.

Loved our stay here. The hotel itself was beautiful on the very top of the hill with amazing views of Vesuvius and the surrounding area. The walk up from Sorrento is short but steep, but we were aware of this beforehand so we didn't mind. We weren't expecting a sea view so when we got one we were delighted. The staff were lovely and super helpful, they even left us sandwiches at the front desk when we had to leave for our flight in the middle of the night. Breakfast was great and it was overall a wonderful experience. Very clean and great value for money.

The hike up the hill to get back to the hotel from Sorrento.

The seclusion yet proximity to the town and the views. The friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness. Lovely continental breakfast! Nice pool area and scenic garden surrounds.

Since the bar is open all night on the patio, it would have been nice if food was available, for a charge, as well, late at night since it is not right in the center of town.

The grounds are beautiful and serene! The views were incredible. The history of the place as being an Abby was very interesting and it was special that the owner whom works there shared with us her family's history. She was lovely and helpful with our luggage. Our room was lovely as well and we really enjoyed the breakfast every morning with many great selections and delicious coffee! They also provided free transportation to & from two restaurants near by! I highly recommend this place if you want a bit of relaxation and away from the hussle, but still close walk (15 min) to center!!

The breakfast was good and on par with other hotels like this in Europe, and also with staff waiting on you for drinks. The bartender Luigi was amazing. The entire property is gorgeous and the pool was very clean.

Fantastic location with breathtaking views. The staff were so welcoming and friendly they made us feel immediately at home. Easy, convenient parking. Very clean room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast, lunch available and bar open for drinks in the evening on the terrace.

Having dinner in the hotel. Having hotel shuttle easily available to the city and back, not just to restaurants and back on evenings.

Walking to city is 10 minutes steep downhill &nice. Way up is hard and using Taxi costs close to 30euro. One can use his car and park in the city for 3eoro/h or so. Our room was 14, and had perfect view to Sorrento bay&city. Amazing.

The taxi up from the port cost us 40 euros so the rest of the trip we walked up, worth knowing that this is about a 10 minute pleasant walk downhill but 20 minutes uphill from most places in Sorrento. We didn't mind this too much but something to be mindful of if you have mobility difficulties - the only alternative is a quite expensive taxi!

The hotel was gorgeous with a lovely pool and bar area with gorgeous views of Sorrento and the sea. Our room was clean, had a really comfy bed and also a beautiful sea view!

The staff were excellent and very helpful and nice. The breakfast was good and the pool and grounds were very pleasant. The location is at the the top of a steep hill, which makes for nice views but can be tiresome to walk up each day.

The hotel offered snacks but not full lunch and dinner.

We were a couple visiting in October. The elevation of the hotel meant it had an amazing view over the bay and over the Vesuvius, and it was not noisy from traffic. My favourite was the coffee served with breakfast on the terrace with sea view. Pool area was great.

We enjoyed two rooms during our stay. The rooms balconies that were along the path to the left of the property overlooking the sea were magnificent for sitting outside at night due to the soft and Subtle lighting along the foot path, we loved sitting outside with a pizza and a glass of wine in the evening and found it incredibly relaxing & romantic. However, The bigger balcony rooms on the floor above, overlooking the Mediterranean sea could use a dim discreet outside light to enable guests to enjoy the balcony more in the evening as it’s pitch black and can’t be really be used as effectively after dark which is a shame because it’s a truly beautiful view to sit out and see all the lights twinkling over the Mediterranean Sea. However in the day it’s a beautiful sun for sunbathing trap with a truly magnificent view.

Authentic & Stunning property in a very beautiful location, quite close to the main piazza using the cobbled path that runs to the left of the hotel. Walking up and down the path / hill was no issue for us and we did it twice daily with ease. The hotel holds a lot of Italian charm and charisma, it took our breath away. The whole hotel is truly beautiful from the sun terrace to the pool and not to mention the hammocks in the olive groves, where we laid and watched the beautiful colours of the sunset as it glistened through the trees. It was very peaceful and romantic. The whole hotel has a Wonderfully friendly atmosphere, the reception staff couldn’t do enough to help, from arranging pizza deliveries to Enjoy on the balcony with a bottle of wine to making evening dinner reservations and providing free transport to their recommended restaurants, which are truly amazing and certainly didn’t disappoint. The lunch menu was light and made to perfection and the bar opening hours were fantastic considering we came out of season. Breakfast on the terrace was breathtaking and the food on offer was wholesome and delicious, certainly had something for everyone. We have stayed in other 4 and 5 star hotels on the sorrento coast and this by far has been the most beautiful, friendly and relaxed. We cannot wait to return to this hidden little gem.
