The bed wasn't too comfortable, a bit too hard, but I was only there for one night, so not that much of a problem. I mention the view wasn't great, but that's because I asked for a quiet room, the view of the inner courtyard was actually ok (just not what you'd expect from Lucca).

They were able to provide a decent stay at an hour's time, I was expecting having to go somewhere nice. Wifi worked great (needed because there was no cell signal in the room). Staff were extremely helpful and they invited me to a coffee and water (it was out of breakfast time). They were also ok with me being late on checkout and held my bags whilst I explored Lucca.

I miss a water-kettle in the room, but it is possible to get hot water and coffe in the bar-area. The bed could have been better.

The room was in the side building, large and bright with a nice view of the roof-tops of Lucca, beautiful! It was to the back and very quiet, no fans with annoying sound. The bath-room was very nice and lots of hot water, good shower. The room is not typicly modern, but has an old fashion charm. The location is just perfect in the middle of the town and easy reach to everything, shops, bars, restaurants, sights and of course the city wall which is perfect for a walk with our dog. The breakfast was very good and there is a bar with a good selection. Parking is possible at the location, very convenient! But most of all, the very best part is the exceptional staff, so nice and welcoming and most helpful! We are hoping to be back real soon!

From inside the room is possible to hear noise of other guests walking and talking in the stairs and hallways.

Great location in Lucca, close to all main historical sights I wanted to visit. The reception has someone at all times, felt safe entering and exiting the building. The staff was very nice and super professional. Easily provided answers to all my questions about what to do in Lucca, and made it possible to store my bags for a couple of hours after check out before leaving Lucca. The room windows have a very good isolation of exterior sound. Great breakfast with many gluten free alternatives!

Superb location, right in the heart of Lucca. The fact that they have a garage for parking is a real bonus. Yes it's tight to get into, but it is a Medieval City after all.

Nothing - I couldn’t fault it.

Hotel La Luna was just a lovely place to stay whilst we explored Lucca and the surrounding area. It was very well located for the Centro Storico, only a couple of hundred yards from the Piazza Antifeatro. The rooms were very comfortable (especially the beds) and were always kept clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the hotel and they were very attentive to guests. There was a good range of foods available for breakfast each day from pastries and cakes to boiled eggs to the traditional cooked meats and cheeses. All in all a very pleasant stay.
