눉Travellers need to be aware of the local church bell that rings out the time every quarter of an hour (!) day and night (which kept us awake). Otherwise the place is quiet, peaceful.
눇Teresa was a wonderful host, communicated with us many times before our stay, advised us on parking issues and booked us a parking place in a safe garage; waited for us with cakes/chocolate and gave us top tips on what to see and where to eat. Oh and the views were beautiful.

눉We actually enjoyed the steps from Atrani town square to Lae Domus and we are in our 60's BUT the steps walking back from Ravello/Pontone to Amalfi were endless and steep! We also found it hard to find the 'small' tunnel from Atrani to Amalfi. Head along the main road from Atrani to Amalfi. At the Amalfi end of the road tunnel there is a big Luna Rossa (carpark) sign near the road. The 'small' tunnel starts there.
눇Many people comment on the hospitality of Teresa, the owner of Lae Domus, and we wondered why. But meeting her is like returning home to family. Teresa went way beyond what we thought was excellent hospitality and for travellers so far from home the things she did for us were really appreciated. The apartment is exactly like the photos show. The views from the bedroom and Juliet balcony are breathtaking. We spent many hours during our week at Lae Domus just watching the village life go on around us and the ships sail past. Each morning we would lay in bed and listen to the waves lap up on the beach. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you would want for self catering. Being only a 10 minute walk to busy Amalfi where there are supplies of everything was fun yet we could return to quiet and quaint Atrani. Teresa will suggest the best places to eat, follow her suggestions as she has lived in Ravello all her life and really knows her surroundings. There are two small shops in Atrani for simple things and you can purchase bus tickets from a little shop in the town square. There is a huge folder full of information in the apartment. It proved very useful as we travelled around the area. Overall a fantastic place!
