Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only thing that bothered me was the noise. From my room I could hear everything going on both outside and on the hallways. Other than that everything was nice. For the price I think it’s a really good hotel.
The location was good, the main street with the shopping stores was near and also the train station is very close. The stuff was really helpful and they ordered a taxi for us.

Arriving in the dark, it's necessary to make your way past clusters of loitering youths into a dingy alleyway. Probably not an issue, but it was uncomfortable doing so. The bathroom is due an overhaul soon.
Reasonable quality hotel very close to the station. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice.

The room was not very clean, there was dust on the bathroom, ants on the room. The furniture is outdated.
The breakfast was ok, with multiple choices. The room is very quiet, warm, the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is recently renovated and looks good.

They charged us city taxes for a baby (according to Pisa Law, but we didn't find anything that says babies have to pay)

-hotel is old and has a smell -warm water in shower has no pressure -room floors is from rock and very cold if you dont have slippers. Where are no slippers in room. -very thin walls, you always hear other people from next rooms and from above
-Breakfast was good, every day almost the same but you can choose different options, sweet table very good with fresh and still warm crossans and other 10 choises -room is clean, towels was changed every day -hotel location, train station around the corner, very convient if want to travel around, but Pisa tower is 20 minutes on foot.

The structure is very old and the external sewage smell of the surroundings goes inside. Its almost in all the area of Pisa.

Rooms were very small, toilet wasn't working, waterfall shower came loose from wall.
Staff very friendly and informative about where to go, restaurants etc. very good location, 2km from train station. We were only booked for one night as we had an early morning flight.

No sound proofing, so any noise in nearby rooms could be heard

Hotel shows it age and needs upgrading throughout.
Terrific location - bang opposite the Pisa Centrale train station, 2 mins walk. A nice 20 mins walk through town to the leaning tower of Pisa or bus and taxi options. The quadruple room for my family of 4 was very spacious with a large balcony, comfortable beds and everything was clean. Plenty of pizzeria joints within walking distance. There is a McDonald's at the train station as well. The Pisa airport is a 10 mins Pisamover shuttle from the train station (the platform and tickets are at the end of the station after platform 13, costing 6.5 Euro each). Perfect for an overnight stay.

The location was excellent. We wanted somewhere close to the train station but still able to walk into the city. It was a 2 minute from the train station and 10 minutes into town. The room was far better than we expected, a big bedroom, very big bathroom with double sink and on top of this we had a separate lounge area with a sofa bed. The decoration was quite traditional Italian and the hotel felt like it was a family run business. All the staff were very friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was really great. Will definitely stay again if we return to Pisa

Hotel very fine. Very nice staff. Especially at breakfast. Great breakfast, large selection of everything. We never ran out of anything. Fresh. Delicious. The location is a plus, the train station is literally around the corner. It's also close to the center. I recommend.
