To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

LatviaThe elevator to the hotel was narrow and many people were using it, so it was harder to get to the hotel. The bathroom had some weir smell and from the window, there was a cigarette smell coming in. It would have been great if there had been cards instead of keys for the doors.
The location was quite okay and pretty easy to find, there was a grocery store nearby, and the room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and we even met their dog that wanted to come and play with us :) They gave us directions to the main attractions and gave us information on what buswe could take to get there.

GreeceThe bathroom was dirty. It had salts on every metallic surface. Seemed like it hadn't been cleaned for ages. Also, something weird that never happened in my other stays before. On the 3rd night of our stay, upon returning to our room, we found the door wide open. Fortunately, nothing was missing.

Czech RepublicThe shower was broken and we had to use it without the head. Also, I accidentally broken the key during the day and it was very difficult to reach somebody in the reception that would speak english and help me. They didn't have backup key, cleaning lady had to come provide it.
Nice staff, room cleaned, tiny but cosy. I liked the bathroom which was big enough. Location is not superb, but walking to metro is 7 mins which is fine. Lot of restaurants in the surroundings. Termini station reachable by walk (15 mins).

The staff was pleasant and the room had a decent size. The hotel is located in a building (reception in the 4th floor) reasonably close to Termini Station and other stop from the metro Line A, so it is very convenient to get anywhere in Rome.

RomaniaFirstly, the payment policy was misleading. When I decided to book this hotel, everywhere in the description was mentioned “no prepayment needed - pay at the property”, I just had to add my credit card to confirm the reservation, which I did. 1 week before my arrival, they “booked” from my credit card the whole amount I had to pay at the property, saying that “it is just to make sure I will still come and I will not cancel the reservation” (even if I had the right to) and that they’ll unlock the amount once I arrive to the hotel and pay there, which was very shady to me. I understand if they would’ve book a tiny amount, but not the full payment, since it was not mentioned anywhere that prepayment is needed. I had to deal with so many calls, emails and requests just to make them understand that this policy was not mentioned anywhere and I want to pay at the property just as it says in the description! Every time I tried to contact them I couldn’t solve anything, since the lady that works there doesn’t speak english at all. So I had to solve it via Booking’s call center. The only way to solve this situation and not pay twice was for me to pay fully in advance. So pay attention to this next time you book this hotel! About the place: I had no high expectations regarding the facilities considering the low price. But essential elements were missing, like the safety measures - for example the sockets were outside the walls, the cable of the hair dryer was seriously damaged and dangerous to use! The shower cannot be considered a “real” shower (the shower head is like the ones you can find in public showers). When we arrived there we found in the room a set of used towels too.
The hotel is located in a quite and nice area of Rome. Close to the railway station. Friendly staff (but they dont speak english).
