One of the highlights was the delicious diversified and fresh breakfast served each morning, providing the perfect start to the day. Location of Marta Guest House was perfect, allowing easy access to these incredible destinations in Tuscany: Old City of Lucca, Pistoia, Valley of Garfagnana with beautiful scenery, small village of Montecatini Alto. Thanks to Marta recommendation we avoid crowd on Cinque Terre. Thanks again for everything.

everything was excellent! Marta and her family are very warm and hospitable, the home made breakfasts were amazing and so was the view from the terrace! I highly recommend Marta's Guest House. The location is also perfect, we came with bikes and Marta gave us tips for nice trips.

Bed was quite hard and uncomfortable, but that was the only thing we did not like, would heartily recommend the place.

Amazing welcome by Marta and her son, great and comfortable location. What's also great is that it was very easy to chat with the other guests, the atmosphere is relaxed and easy going.

Marta is at the peak of her own passion to deliver a great experience, there is nothing to be improved for us. It is a family run guest house and they did everything over and above to make our stay a great experience.

We are vegetarian and it was great to stay with Marta, she made every effort above and beyond to cater well for us for breakfast.

Marta is an excellent host - warm, welcoming and excellent in communication. The house and the room is charming, clean and with an atmosphere of "home away from home". Our room had a huge terrasse. Breakfast is homemade and plentiful. We will be back and we can highly recommend Martas Guest House.

Installing a shower divider would enhance the bathroom experience by containing water within the shower area, thus keeping the rest of the bathroom dry and minimising cleanup efforts.

Marta and her associates were just amazing. They were very accommodating for our late check-in and we liked every bit of our stay. The rooms were cleaned every day with new towels. The breakfast prepared by the team was fulfilling and it was a kickstart to our trips around Pisa and Florence. We would love to come back again.

Marta and George are lovely people. Beautiful house, beautiful view and of course Marta's very tasty breakfast. It was one of the best stays during our Italy trip. Definitely coming back if we decide to visit Pisa again.

Not really a negative point, but just to point out that an 8.30 start for breakfast is late for anybody who wants to leave and go visiting early. But then Marta's breakfasts do demand a lot of preparation and it's an experience (food, service and environment) that you wouldn't want to miss!

Beautiful house, lovingly restored. Great spacious bedroom with a big balcony overlooking the garden. Very copious breakfast with the opportunity to taste Marta's specially-prepared local specialities, both sweet and savoury. Marta also provided lots of useful advice about interesting places to visit nearby which you wouldn't necessarily think of.

The neighbor's dog was a bit of a disturbance to the otherwise exceptional peace. But there's nothing the House can do about it.

The house itself is beautiful and Marta makes your stay as comfortable as possible. Every morning an amazing, freshly baked breakfast is prepared and she is always ready to answer questions or to make recommendations. Also there are a couple of good restaurants in walking distance of the house.

The breakfast was amazing. Marta and her staff made delicious fresh cakes and savories each morning. When it was fine we could eat in the garden. The food was very fresh and we enjoyed delicious local dishes. Our host, Marta, is very friendly and did everything to make our stay perfect. Each morning she would help us plan our day and even produced beach towels and an umbrella when we planned to go to the beach. It is a beautifully kept house and in a great location as it is quiet and about 20 minutes drive to Lucca. There are plenty of places to eat out in the village in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't recommend it highly enough.

To maximize space in the room and to not have an external bathroom the shower area was tight. But this was a good compromise for having a nice room.

Excellent location between Pisa and Lucca for someone with a car. Very good breakfast made with love. Quiet. Marta the hostess was very helpful and speaks English.

Lovely villa from the past century. Well maintained and with an unique vibe. Delicious, diverse, home-made breakfast and a very kind and thoughtful owner. The location is wonderful - beautiful views from the terrace on the hills surrounding the village, and only 10 min away by car/bus from Pisa! It's been an absolute pleasure to stay at Marta's and I'll surely check back in if I'm in the area again.

Marta is an amazing host and treats her guests as family and takes good care of everyone. Her staff is also so amazing. We came by bus and did not know about the holiday in Italy, so very few busses drove at that time. Marta organized so that we still could do the things we wanted to do and Bini drove us to both train station and Lucca. They became our Italian madre e padre! We have glutenfree diet and got special dishes for breakfast – also amazing! We are grateful for the beautiful stay in the middle between Lucca and Pisa and hope to be able to return one day. Then with a car 😊

I would rate Martas guest house 10/10, I would rate Marta personally as 1000000/10! Marta is a special woman and a wonderful hostess. Marta and her staff went above and beyond for me and my partner. The room was immaculate and her breakfasts were superb. I would highly recommend and for me the only place to stay in Tuscany. I hope to see Marta and her beautiful villa in the future.
