Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The shampoo kit and body wash was fantastic. The smell and cleanness of the place was fantastic. The room was warm and comfortable.

There was a little bit of noise from the train, but it was acceptable :)
Good location. Close to the train and bus station. Good staff. Gave us a lot of info about the stay.

we didnt like the carpet on the floor of the room. i think it collects dust or somethng bcuz the room seemed a little dusty. the curtains inside the bathroom was so old and i think they had mold, they need to be changed. also the clean towers they provided were clean but they smelled like they were stored in a closet for a long time, they had this smell of closet, they werent freshly washed i guess, although they were clean. place has a car parking spot but you'll have to pay 10 eu. i think they pay a fee or tax or something for it to the city, so i dont know if this prize is ok. alternatively you can find a parking lot and park there for free over the night but then you'll have to remove the car early in the morning. its an alternative if you're leaving early in the morning
location was great. receptionist was good. he was cooperative and speaking in english. we demanded a change of bed sheets as it had some stains, he was understanding and fulfilled our request. the room was warm when we arrived, unlike other places where i had to turn on the heater. it was pretty clean, the bathroom was clean and the shower eqiupments (i mean the shower head, etc) were new, guess they changed them recently.

The building, and especially the entrance hall could benefit from some renovations
Friendly helpful receptionist. Although the building and the entrance hall are quite dated and would benefit from some renovations, the apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, with crisp bed linen and fluffy towels. The location is quite central and just a couple of minutes from the old town which is full of restaurants. Only 5-10 min from the lake front too.

As we stayed for 5 nights found the bathroom smelt a bit and needed to leave the fan to counteract the smell.
The location was excellent for accessing the Como Lago train station, San Giovanni station was further away, it’s close to the ferries, restaurants and other attractions in the city centre. The room was spacious and an added bonus we had a balcony. The manager was helpful on our arrival.

Lots of 'you shall not do' notes about the building. Is not a hotel as such, but rather rooms let out individually.

The room was clean but there were some mosquitos in the room. Also, the air in the room was quite humid.
Location of the hotel was excellent, only a 5 minute walk to the marina!

Well, air conditioning did not work properly and it was quite hot one night.
