Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Amenities like kettle, cups and coffee were missing.
The location is convenient when it comes to proximity to the tourist destinations as well as the train station.

The air in the room was not great - there's some kind of fan/air conditioner, but it only put out a small amount aimed at a specific area of the room (not the beds). We had to sleep with the window open most nights to feel any kind of air in the room, which let bugs in.
Very convenient to the train station. Just a short walk away from most of the best tourist spots in town. The breakfast/brunch offerings were nice and helped save us money.

I loved the inticamy of the hotel. It is located on a lovely street and so close to a vibrant city area, with lots of good restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. I loved the spa, also, and had a wonderful massage with Filomena. The breakfast each morning at the hotel was delicious. The hotel itself was very clean, including our room. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and kind. It was a very enjoyable stay.

We had a deluxe room with a spa bath. Didn’t realise we were getting this as thought there was one spa area for the whole hotel. Very wasteful and bad for the environment to have such a large bath - such a waste of water.
Staff on reception and at breakfast were really lovely. Made us feel v welcome and really looked after us. Fabulous location and spacious room.

The weather (nobody's fault)!
Location was great, a short walk to the Central Market. Longer walk to the galleries, churches and river, but still not too far. Close to railway station, so very handy for day trips on the wonderful Italian Railways. Nice area to sit outside by breakfast room. Huge choice at breakfast (some a bit weird - lots of sweets!). Had a massage which was just fabulous (for an extra payment, but well worth it)! Staff were very helpful with printing out tickets and getting taxis on rainy days.

the air co is not the best , but still does its job ok
breakfast was very good and fresh everyday. although they could try to have some varieties in the menu and the not the same every morning . location is perfect , close to the train station and near the major attractions. staff was very friendly and helpful

The only reason I´m giving a 9 instead of a 10 is that during the day somebody was using a hammer in the room next door, probably performing repairs. Not very pleasant when we wanted to rest a couple of hours in our room between two visits.
Excellent location, a five-minute walk from the train station, close to many restaurants, but in a quiet side street. Good breakfast. No more than twenty minutes from most important landmarks.

The noise of the water boiling systems that was in the next door room. Also the noise from the water spa in the superior floor. No black light in the windows, so the kids wake up very early.
Breakfast was very good and also the location. The room was modern and great decoration. Staff was very nice and friendly.

On our first night, someone on our floor was being very very loud, doing karaoke etc. it kept us up quite late with how loud it was. Also the bathroom did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned, with someone else’s hair still in the shower / bathroom area
Very easy to access by foot from the main station and the city centre. Close to local shops and restaurants, felt very safe and yummy breakfast with lots of biscuits.

The hotel is very closed to the places that you want to see in Florence. The breakfast has many options and quite acceptable. The room is also good enough to stay. If you want make "Price / Benefit" evaluation, you can absolutely stay here.

There were renovation work at the hotel and on the road where the hotel is located. The SPA was not available and the room was quite noisy due to the renovation works. Very low water lux in the shower (don't know if it was due by the works) at the level that the main sprinkle was not available (not enough pressure). Shower gel in mono portions: not eco friendly. No shelf in the bathroom, difficult to put your stuff.
Very good hotel in Florence near the train station and the Palazzo dei Congressi. Very friendly staff. I had a very good massage.

The staff, all reception people and the nice lady during the breakfast were so nice and helpful. The room was bigger than I expected, and it was so clean, and everything was more than enough. The bathroom was clean and tidy, with lots of towels.
