Excellent location for exploring Stresa and for taking boats across Lake Maggiore. Very quiet, comfortable, friendly staff and good buffet breakfast.

The room sound proofing could have been better.

We enjoyed our top-floor Balcony room overlooking the lake ( room 546 ). We sat out there at every opportunity and fortunately the weather was wonderful. The dinning experience, two dinners and breakfast each morning, was fantastic and wine was very good and reasonably priced. Carmelo and the team, including Natalia, were fantastic with a welcoming smile on every occasion. The lactation was great, walking distance to everything including the boats and old township.

Shower deflector not long enough to keep the water from going on the floor. Seemingly no insulation in the walls, as the first night the people next to us might as well have been in our room. Luckily they weren't there the next night.

Breakfast was good, selections okay. Service was friendly and efficient. Beautiful view of the lake from our balcony. Great lake-front park to walk in. Property showing its age, but it provided an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go, including the ferry to the islands just down the street. Great light blocking curtains. Friendly front desk attendants. Parking was free, a short walk away.

It’s a little thing. Water ran onto the floor from the shower over the bath as the shower screen was not long enough.

Breakfast was fine, but wasn’t amazing.

Hotel has a vintage feel, which was somehow appropriate for the area. Really great location plus gave access to the pool at the hotel down the road (which was lovely).

Took adapter for uk plug and wouldn’t fit in bedroom sockets. Luckily it fitted into bathroom one. Had fitted in other sockets in Milan hotel I stayed in. Sometimes reception staff not overly welcoming, but not unhelpful.

Breakfast could have had a bit more variety ie: good sausages and fried tomato. Bed mattress in both rooms were very hard. Ended up with sore hips and shoulders. Room 314 was very cold. Had to get an extra blanket. Room 602 was fine. Warm because it got the daily sun exposure. Aircon - had to ask front desk to turn it on there so you could use it in your rooms. It only worked on cooling, does not warm rooms so that is why we needed an extra blanket to keep warm in bed

Staff very helpful with every enquire. Main ding room staff great, Rafa attended to every need. Menu was good, loved the duck, veal, fish, sweets variety great. Pasta a bit too aldante for us. Size of servings pleantiful. Hotel local and views from both 602 and 314 superb. Loved our stay and would come again. Apart from issues in “we didn’t like” section below would highly recommend this hotel.

No adapters for the electric plugs and plastic cups in the rooms. Some staff were not as friendly as others and as we were in the newer building we weren’t offered to breakfast in the much fancier red building unless we asked

Bed was hard and small.

This hotel is in a great location right across from Lake Maggiore and the ferries that take you over to the three islands. ALso close to many restaurants and shopping alleys. Staff at front desk were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a buffet and very good. Room was small and bed was a single but OK for just one night. Try to get a room away from the cathedral next to property because the bell chimes very often and its very loud!! other than that a nice property to start off our trip.

There are two hotels side by side: Hotel Milan and Hotel Speranza, run as a singe hotel. The hotels have a lot of 60s/70s charm! Breathtaking views from the balcony. Room was spacious. There's Free parking at nearby Hotel Regina Palace.
