Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe wifi did not have the best reception. There was a large barrier type wall with an opening in between the bed area and windows- sitting in the area by the open windows the wifi was lost, internet was actually better on the beach. Unfortunately our toilet had flushing issues but staff attended to it immediately (on 2 occasions in 4 days). I do not know whether it was resolved after we left.
Miramare e Castello is a beach resort in Ischia that was a welcome respite from the crowded Amalfi Coast. It's located in a perfect area to enjoy and explore the island which is the best kept secret in the Bay of Naples. This hotel has a spa (which we never used), private beach, small pool surrounded by cushioned seating and grand vistas of the sea and dramatic Castello Argonese. There is a rooftop restaurant and a convenient bar on the ground floor providing service when lounging on the beach chairs or by the pool. The breakfast area is bright and sunny with a terrace, attentive waitstaff and virtually anything available to eat or drink. The reception desk and staff were always very nice and helpful. This hotel is an easy stroll to a lovely street loaded with restaurants, trattorias and shops along a charming village that leads you right to the imposing castle entrance. There is a bus that takes you into Ischia Porto for ferries or to other buses that can take you all over the island. We had a room with a gorgeous sea view which was worth it, not really large but a decent size. The bathroom was large and open with a full tub/shower and windows overlooking the sea as well.

NorwayA bit confused on which facilities were connected to the two sister hotels, but I could also just have asked.
The most wonderful location on Ischia with the most attentive staff. And impressed by their cleaning routines and staff. The spa treatments are recommended.

CanadaRoom was very small and over Main Street, very noisy overnight.
Boutique style hotel, ideal location, great staff. All public areas including the seafront restaurant, bar, pool, private beach were excellent. Overlooking the Aragon castle of Ischia and 2 minute walk to the restaurants and shops in Ischia Ponte. It is a 10 minute walk the other way to the start of the shops and restaurants in Ischia town center and about 20 – 25 minutes to the main Port and surrounding restaurants. The bus #7 passes the hotel every 10 -15 minutes and travels to the port.

AustraliaIt was unbearably humid when we visited. Not the hotels faults but the facilitates (outside of the room) didn't hold up well. I'd suggest they keep all the doors and windows closed next time and let the air con do its thing. It was almost impossible to relax around the breakfast or lunch areas as it was too hot (hence why we went to a beach club every day). The pool was also very warm so not refreshing.
The hotel is charming old Italia. It isn't 5* but it is all relative. I think like most places in Italy/Europe it is really at most a 4* by modern international standards. The food is very good, drinks are good, hotel is very clean and relaxing. The staff were helpful to point out other places for us to visit, booking us beach clubs and taxi's to and from. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff very accomodating.

United KingdomBathroom - shower was old and floor flooded after each use. Given room over Main Street - kept awake both nights - so so noisy.
All the communal rooms were beautiful from the bar to the breakfast room. Stunning hotel with views of the castle and the sea. Outdoor facilities also great with superb views, sun decks with loungers and umbrellas, outdoor pool etc. First class service at all times.

New ZealandSome of the staff did not seem very motivated doing their job at times. However most of them were very professional and very helpful, especially at the bar and at the beach. This is overall a lovely place to stay.
Location is superb. Common areas are fantastic. The bar around the pool is just picture perfect, and the views are stunning. Rooms are relatively small, but the ones with views have lovely views. Breakfast was abundant, good.

United KingdomI booked transfers through Booking.com which were cancelled the day before I travelled. I managed to get other transfers by ferry to the island but the wait was very long and the journey even longer. If I had known before, I would have got the hotel to book the transfers as they were cheaper and booked the hydrofoil which took half the time.
Room was a bit small but was clean and had everything that we needed. I stayed in a twin room with my son, but the double rooms was very roomy with huge bathrooms overlooking the sea. The rooftop jacuzzis were lovely and the view and breeze at the top of the hotel were amazing
