Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast menu was mundane and same item every day. They should include some variety. Although it was fresh and tasty.
It’s the best location and in the close proximity of all the attractions whiting walking distance.

The bed was firm which was not my typical preference. But everything else was 5 stars for sure!

Was a little disappointed that there was no fulltime staff on roof top terrace sometimes in the evening.

Very good location. 5-10min walk to Piazza Navona and Colesseum. Bus stop next door to Vatican, Train Station and others. Minimarket next door. Wonderful staff, good bar and recently renewed.

The lights in our room weren’t working. We were told that someone would come to fix it, but that never happened. We ordered a special extra breakfast - there was a miscommunication and we only got it on our last morning.
The hotel is in an amazing location in the Jewish Ghetto, close to restaurants and walking distance to historical sites and the heart of Rome. The bed was comfortable and the showers was great. They were very accommodating to our religious needs!

Small room. Not all drivers know how to reach hotel entrance.
Very supportive staff. Comfort bed. Lots of near by shops & restaurants. Mini Market coop & bus station 1 min walk. and don't miss the flalfel from near by Oriental Fonzie

Like all charming boutique hotels, the rooms are very small. But it was lovely!
We loved the location. It was very easy to walk to all of the attractions ias well as the excellent restaurants in Trastevere. The breakfast in the rooftop dining/sitting area was excellent. The beds were very comfy too.

We loved the rooftop terrace - we spent time up there for breakfast and at the end of everyday to sip wine and relax. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Construction next door, only noticeable for some rooftop mornings. Noise did not reach my room.

Our stay was at a peak of unseen heatwave there (not the fault of the hotel of course). However the airconditionning system that was ok in the room was unfortunately poor in other parts. I wonder if it can be improved. Another is that at the reception we were asked to somehow indicate time we were going to get to breakfast, kind of appointment… we didnt fix and nothing went wrong, service and food was perfect. So, why the create this useless stress…
Breakfast and service attendance was very good. Location of the hotel was just at the heart of the historical center. Staff at the hotel was veey friendly and helpful, special thanks to the bellboy Ahmad…
