Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing! We would happily stay again.
Great location in a quiet square, but very central. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast, with plenty of choice, and the opportunity to sit on the terrace overlooking the square. Comfortable, well appointed room, great shower, superb view of the dome from the room window. Very comfortable bed.

United KingdomOnly the smallest of niggles: I'd have liked a mirror in the bedroom where you could see yourself at full length - there was a loveolly dressing table and a mirror in the bathroom. Maybe a warning about the entrance in the initial communication from the hotel - when you look up and see the flag you guess that the reception is above and maybe its a nice surprise but when you are a bit tired it would be helpful. One thing I liked (but people of limited mobility may not) is that there are beautiful stone stairs to the rooms
The hotel is like a little undiscovered gem:You walk through and archway through to an elevator that takes you to the thirdfloor. Here you find the reception and the roof bar/terrace bar. Its situated in a quiet plaza that has a market every day and is peppered by restaurants with outdoor seating. The greeting and communication for the staff is very special - they are so nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is a lovely ancient building probably dating from the 16th Century. The room was large and roomy with old fashioned wardrobe and exposed beams. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely ensuite bathroom. Outside our room was a large landing with a sofa and table which we used as an extra sitting room. The breakfast was lovely and so was the roof bar. The cleanliness was outstanding and the cleaning staff were delightful. I can't really understand why this is classed as a 3 star hotel - its has a wonderful shabby chic vibe and an ambience that makes it feel like a boutique hotel run by a family of taste and style

United States of AmericaOnly complaint we have was the bedding was a bit too warm, I should’ve asked for a lighter weight comforter, I suspect they would have accommodated our request as the staff was particularly friendly.

United States of AmericaI don't really have any complaints. It's a hotel in an old building, so the usual things apply -- tiny lift, etc. But that wasn't a drawback, as we thought it was lovely.
A lovely place with a huge loggia overlooking the piazza and the roofs of Florence. Area not very touristy but close to the sights. The hotel itself is on the third floor and beautiful -- very high ceilings, very picturesque. We only stayed one night, but we did enjoy the loggia for drinks and the helpful staff. Breakfast very good.

United States of Americathe rooms could use a bit more furnishing/art. and cozier more elegant bedding. but we really enjoyed our stay.
Our room was very large (could have used a bit more furniture). We had a balcony overlooking the square which was lovely. The bathroom was clean and bright. And the terrace for breakfast was our favorite. The views were better than expected. And breakfast was vast and delicious with lots of options. what a beautiful way to start each day!

United States of AmericaIt does get noisy at night and in the morning being on a main square. The property does everything they can to help mitigate this with reminders posted about closing the shutters tight and ear plugs provided for each guest. It didn’t bother us but if you’re early to bed I could see it being an issue. Perhaps ask for a room furthest away from the square when booking.
Such a beautiful property. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. We had a small balcony overlooking the square. The location was perfect for walking to all the major sites. We also used e-bikes and scooters and there were many around the square. The Loggia bar and breakfast were lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. The square had lots going on including farmer’s and flea markets during the day and live music at night. We loved it! Would stay again.

AustraliaThe room was so noisy. At night and early in the morning . The room was right next to the kitchen and we could hear everything that was going on in there. The noise of plates , the noise of glass bottles, the staff talking etc. we didn’t sleep well at all. But the room itself was beautiful. At check I explained it all and the lovely lady took the drink bill off my account. So thank you !!
The location was great, the breakfast was great, the roof top bar was fantastic and the staff that run it were amazing. The room itself was beautiful .

Hotel Palazzo Guadagni was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional, and the room was exactly as advertised. The hotel check-in happens on the 3rd floor -there is a small elevator- and the room I stayed in was a family room on the 1st floor, so the manager my own check-in in the vestibule the leads to the 1st floor rooms. That was fantastic because it meant I didn't have to make my whole family go all the way up, just to then go down. The room was beautiful, classically styled, well lit and very well maintained. Exactly whatyou expect in a city like Firenze. The breakfast was wonderful, as well. There were several options of food for all different type of palates and dietary needs. I had a car and the hotel took care of getting it parked and retrieved for me. I couldn't have asked for more. Would I go again? Yes, in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Hotel Palazzo Guadagni.
