Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndonesiaThe guy at the front desk was not very nice when we checked it, but maybe he was tired... who knows. Also when we came, our sink was leaking so we had to use bidet for washing. But they fixed it next day.
Love the location. Everything super close!:) We had also small balcony. It was nice warm in the room & clean.

United KingdomIf your looking for the real venice experience then stay here, as there is loads of shops and restaurants in this area right next to the hotel, but my advice arrive in venice in the day time as you will get a better understanding where you are, plus this hotel is not near a river, so you will need to walk a lot to get there, that is why I say get there in the day you will get a better experience I'm the day, late at night you feel your walking down endless alley was and its not fun, but that's venice, my advice get a map. If coming from the airport go by coach get off at roman plaza head towards the taxi rank and there is a bridge head over it, walk through the hotel yard head to the right there is another bridge then after bridge turn right and follow the path then a left following the canal, then as path heads to the left follow it till you come to a bridge that is built to go a sharp left go over that bridge and follow the path this will take you to the hotel, this is the fastest route to the hotel too, so expect a long walk where ever you go in venice, I hope this helps because I took me a long time of walking to find this route. Plus if you need a supermarket best place to go is Conad city there is 1 not that far from the hotel, a 15 min walk, best use Google map for that, plus there good prices in there too. Also in that area there is lots of shops and restaurants.

GermanyAs stated by others the whole interior seems to be very old. the Venetian furniture can be quite charming, the old bed and closet were not so great. The biggest downside is the tiny bathroom. Almost impossible to use the toilet as a 1,83m person.
The location is great. We were greeted by very friendly staff who also helped us print our rolling Venice tickets. The room itself was ok.

United Statesthe room and beds were very small. The bathroom looked old and rusty. the bathtub didn’t have a shower curtain or door so the entire bathroom was full of water every time we used it. It wasn’t a working air conditioner in the hotel so when we asked at the front desk, the lady got very rude about it. The hotel did not provide fans or any solution to the problem. It was so hot that was very uncomfortable to sleep or even stay in the room for to long during the day.
the location and decoration of the room. The girl that serves breakfast is very nice and works. dry hard.

United KingdomThe bed was very creaky and the seal on the shower head was broken, meaning that water went everywhere each time we showered, as there was also no shower curtain. It was a nice enough place and room, but the price felt a little steep. That said, I would still recommend it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and having provided more information (photos of passports) we were provided with the door code so could let ourselves in at any time, which was very convenient. The location was great, not too far into the city to make it a pain to get to from the buses, but only a 10 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge, and with a couple of great coffee shops on the same street for breakfast each morning. The roof terrace was an unexpected delight.

United StatesThe staff was not at all hepful. I am recovering from an injury they could not help with my bags not call a porter. I needed to store my bag at check out and when I could not pick up in less than 24 hours (because I had business meetings and had to find my own help) they threatened to call the police . The bathrooms were dirty. towels were dingy, furniture was ripped and the room had a moldy scent. Wi-fi only worked in lobby,
The location was the only good thing about this property. Fairly convenient to most things I needed. Not quite as convenient as San Marco

FinlandThere was no breakfast, not even if we would have paid for it. This was grossly inconsistent with the marketing material that included several pictures of nice breakfasts on the terrace. There was no lift, and nobody helped us to carry our luggage (we are 66 and 67 years old). The bed was awful, including the pillow: hard as a rock. No warm blanket, sheet clean but worn out. The street below was somewhat noisy. The room was very small, the closet did not have enough hangers. Not enough value for money.
The bathroom was tidy, there was enough hot water, no scent of mold, which is usual in Venice. Good access to the Vaporetto stop, central location.

New ZealandThe downside of the location is that the key should be picked up and dropped off from the hotel reception. No reason for it, as the door does not open from the outside without a key. While they accepted we leave the key inside, their response was rude. The lady from the reception is not great for a customer service job: she let us waiting while she was on the phone sorting out her personal problems. Some of our questions remained unanswered despite asking them several times. She made it pretty clear she has no time to mind us. The studio was not dirty, but full of mold in the closet called kitchen and in the bathroom. The bricks on the walls were dirty and the debris (and probably mold too) was coming out of them. One bed in particular was very noisy, squeaking with every tiny movement. Funny in a way, because we could hear the same bed noises from the nearby studio. We've also noticed that some of these points have been raised up in other reviews, but dismissed by the owners of the location as being not true. We will upload pictures for the moldy closet/kitchen and walls, as these is a serious health hazard.
The location of the studio is better than the location of the hotel.
