Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsWifi was very bad in my room (San Lorenzo) and no cell reception too. So this made my nights very tough. And also my EU(Netherlands) plugs did not fit in the sockets, only the one in the bathroom worked, the rest are very small to fit.
Room was very good, felt like staying like a local. The breakfast area and main hallway look amazing.

United States of AmericaThe heat / air was difficult to lower the temperature (early January). Room was a little warm.
The property is well maintained. The breakfast is fantastic (lots of options: pastries, bakery items, fresh fruit, eggs, ham/cold cut meats, cheese, and great coffee). The staff was very helpful and attentive.

SlovakiaThe park Palace was an amazing stay on the hill of Florence. Amazing stuff, beautifully decorated old Villa made you feel like a century ago. Wonderful breakfast, and very close to all the attractions walking distance.

Reserved last minute and honestly cannot believe my luck. The place is charming, rooms are spacious and very tastefully furnished. Classic without being baroque. The hall is ideal if you want to enjoy a coffee in am authentic Tuscan setting. Loved it

Hong KongInitially the location felt a little bit far away from the town center, but we ended up rather enjoy the walk to the town and back.
A rather luxurious setting, the room was big and comfortable, breakfast was good quality. A pleasant surprise.

United KingdomThe room was a bit cold.
The breakfast was very good, the location is about 25 mins walk from the centre of Florence, there is a bus stop outside of the hotel & the bus takes you into the centre but you need to be there 5/10 mins early as it sometimes runs bit early or late & doesn’t stop if nobody is standing at the stop. You can purchase bus tickets from the hotel.

FranceNothing, everythong during my stay with my family was perfect.
Lovely hotel located just a few minutes from Boboli's Gardens, Palazzo Pitti and Piazzale Michelangiolo, in a charming area. The staff is very friendly, makes you feel at ease, and helpful each time you need them. The rooms are large and the beds very comfy. The breakfast 'buffet' is a must, with a large choice of sweet and savoury dishes.

United States of AmericaFood options in the hotel in evening were limited... a very small 'bistro' menu when I initially arrived, but then nothing at all as the staff shut the restaurant for the off-season. Apparently there are nearby restaurants within a few minutes' walk... they did look nice, but I didn't try them.
Hotel was well-located between downtown Firenze and the small village of Arcetri, in a very nice neighbourhood (but not close enough to downtown that it felt 'urban'). Room was large and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomQ. What could have been better ? A. We could have been there longer.
A beautiful site, up the hill, out of town, we had such a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the pool and garden area. Our trip was in celebration of my wife's birthday and the staff were so helpful, organising a bottle of Prosecco, Flowers and a Fruit platter for our arrival. Transport is readily available to take us to town, or we did walk about 15 minutes down a back road to Ponte Vecchio on a few occasions as the weather was amazing for our weekend. The breakfast was abundant and very enjoyable, we also took some time on the terrace for a light lunch and vino, there were no complaints.

United KingdomThere is building work going on next to the garden rooms - these are also right by the main road, so not quite as relaxing as expected, I’m sure staying in the main building of the hotel would be better so double check when you are booking! Only three pillows in the room a little strange for a double. Overall a great place though and would recommend just not necessarily the garden rooms
Lovely pool and decor, nice bathroom, really easy to catch the bus from directly outside the hotel

United States of AmericaThere was nothing not to like…
This is a wonderful family and couple friendly hotel. Previously a private home with lovely garden grounds. The staff was very nice, professional and accommodating! The bedrooms were very clean, with pretty decor and the mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was marbled with bath / shower combination with great water pressure! It was one mile within walking distance from the city center. We loved walking on the quaint paths to the Florence city center. The hotel will help you arrange taxi service. There is also a near by bus service. Breakfast was delicious with many options and was open bistro in the after noon and evening. All meals were very good!

United States of AmericaI do wish that they would vary their bistro menu just a bit throughout the week. Our bathroom could have used a bit of updating. The shower door leaked horribly. But honestly that was probably the worst of that. Also, the room needed more natural light. But the size was wonderful for our family of three.
The breakfast was nice. I like eggs and they offered both scrambled and hardboiled. I loved their coffee machine. Fresh ground coffee and fresh sweet milk! Loved sitting on the terrace. The staff were very kind and helpful. Loved the location and grounds.
