Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe room is functional but not cosy. Also the bed was very close to the floor which might be bothersome for people with limited mobility. The entrance is so unassuming that I managed to walk past it multiple times, make sure to keep your eyes peeled when you approach! Of course this is not on the hotel.
The staff is super nice and will give you tips, explain the map etc. 24 hour reception. It was cheap, clean and the location was excellent. I was happy to find this place as an older solo traveller on a budget. Bed was comfy with a very warm blanket in winter. Room was also warm enough.

BulgariaEverything was great. Rooms and quite normal size and comfortable. Location is very close to the city center and the street was not very loud even if you are on the 1st floor. 2 minutes on foot next to the bus station where you can catch a bus very quickly if you want to visit distant parts of the city. There is a shop right next to the hotel that works very long hours. Staff is amazing - super nice and helpful. You can leave your baggage if you have a late flight and they even offered to book us a taxi for smoother transportation.

BulgariaThe only thing that I didn't like was that our room was on the way of the street and during the whole night it's was really noisy. I understand that in the city is like this ,but when the window is open you can sleep because of the noise and when it's closed can't sleep because of the heat😀
The location is great! The receptionist were really kind and positive ,asked all of our questions and provided solutions to anything we needed.

ItalyI have slept badly because of the slats under the mattress, since they were put vertically and not horizontally as, I think, a normal bed. This issue, together with a tiny mattress, made me sleep so badly.
The Hotel is located near the most visited zones of Bologna and 30 minutes by foot far from the train/bus stations. The owner has been kind and always available.

KazakhstanKeep in mind that there is no air-con in this hotel. There was a fan, but if you want air-con you will not find it here. Shower had quite poor pressure and after about 5 minutes it slowed to barely a dribble--I do not take extravagant showers so it's a bit short. The main negative is that the hotel is right on the edge of the ancient center and it's right where cars from the main road will turn if they want to enter that way. I estimate that about half of motorcycle drivers in Bologna are allergic to mufflers, so it can be loud... particularly if it is warmer and you need the window open. I recommend bringing earplugs. There also is no elevator and no official porters, so this is not a hotel for you if you are disabled or have tons of luggage. There is no kitchen here, which isn't the biggest deal (see the part about cheap bites in the area), but it would have been nice to at least have an electric kettle.
This is a good price for the location and amenities in this hotel--everything else I was looking at in Bologna for my dates that was within walking distance of the city center was at least twice as much, and even the properties further out were not that much cheaper. It is a very basic hotel with zero frills, but is clean and comfortable and has everything that you need. Staff is friendly and helpful--you will get a run-down of the area when you arrive. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center; however, one of the major advantages is that it is in/near the university district, so there are plenty of options for cheap bites (kebab stands, Chinese restaurants, pizza-slice joints, a grocery store across the street). The sit-down Italian restaurants in this area are cheaper, less crowded, and have lower coperto than those closer to the attractions. I did most of my eating in this area of town due to the cost-savings.

ItalyWe stayed there for one night in June and had a room with a street view. Apparently, the area is very crowded by night and the room had no air conditioning, thus it was challenging to sleep until 2-3 am. There was a portable fan, but it improved the situation only marginally. The furniture is quite old and worn, the bathroom is small and without any toiletries, and the room was small with barely enough space to move around.
Very good location: within the city centre, close to a bus stop to move around (including going to/coming from the central station), many nice restaurants and bars in the area.
