Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt's small and on the 4th floor (good elevator). Look, it's good value for the area, so it well met my expectations. Would happily stay there again. Decent Italian breakfast.

CanadaThe entrance hall is in the midst of a.repaint. It will be lovely when that has been completed.
The location was 5 min walk to train station, in the middle of the old part of town, close to fabulous restaurants. The included breakfast was a good meal with fruit, yogurt, cheese, meat, croissants, granola, cakes, a selection of interesting juices and amazing cappuccino. The staff was helpful and the accomodation was good and was traditional Italian. An elegant place to stay in the heart of Arezzo.

OmanThere was noise from roof outside bathroom around 3am, we think from pidgeons or rats that woke us a few times. The air conditioning also did not work for some reason during night, and started at about 7am.
Good location and size for family, with separate beds for kids. The spa bath was fun. The included breakfast was great and staff were lovely.

AustraliaThe staff were very good and helpful. Breakfast was continental, no hot food but all good. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Hall way entrance on ground floor interesting, hotel on fourth floor with a new lift. Position to the old town was excellent. Very close to many lovely restaurants and bars. Would stay again.

NorwayStreet outside can get noisy. Central location means parking a car around is problematic.
Located really close to impressive historical center of Arezzo. Comfortable and stylish rooms. Pretty good breakfast selection (for Italy).

United KingdomThe only problem I found, was that the wine glasses were very dirty and I had to clean them before use. Also the table cloth on the balcony was very dirty.
The location is really great, both very near to the train station and the town centre. Nice little balcony to take in the view over the roof-tops. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom area was spacious. We loved the fact that it wasn't modern in decor. It gave a true Italian feel. The staff were fantastic also. They were so welcoming and nothing was any trouble at all. The free bottle of wine was a very kind touch.

HungaryThe elevator was a bit small, and you got to go up to the 4th floor
The room was spacious, nice and quipped with a lot of products (even toothbrush and razor was provided). The staff was realy nice, they learned a few words in Hungarian to greet us. My wife is gluten and lactose intolerant, and they provided breakfast options.

United States of Americamay not be a problem for some people but the hotel is on the top floor (4th) inside an old office building. The elevator is teeny and very old. If you enter hotel after 9pm you have to unlock first floor to office building, climb 4 flights of stairs or take the tiny old elevator, then unlock the hotel lobby door. everything is pitch black until motion detector kicks on.
very quaint and intimate B&B feel. very clean.
