Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryNo elevator was available and luggage had to be moved up to first floor by ourselves on a steep external staircase.
The locations was at an easy walking distance to the port and old city. Reserved parking was available on site. Helpful staff, restaurant on the spot. Bike rental on the spot. Seaside view from window.

SwitzerlandThere is a problem with the drainage in one bathroom but does not affect the use.
The hotel is located at the side of the beach and a yard for parking which is very easy for guest to enjoy the sea. And the apartment is much bigger than we expected with two bathrooms. There is a restaurant managed by the hotel on the ground floor and the food there is delicious as well.

AustraliaWhen we arrived it wasn't obvious the entrance to the accommodation or where the reception was. The nice gentleman in the bike shop explained where we had to go. Reception is in the restaurant. Also best to phone before arriving as the Restaurant is closed between 4pm and 6pm if arriving at this time.
Location was in walking distance to old town. The apartment was very large. Free parking and we were able to leave car (on check out day) while we explored Alghero.

Stayed at Quarte Sayal with my family of five, we booked the Corallo. Room was very spacious, clean, and with AC. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Location is right on the beach along a lively nightly strip with many restaurants and bars. Also the restaurant at Quarte Sayal is fantastic and would recommend that you eat there at least once.

IrelandThe staff are very functional and efficient but didn't really engage with us, despite us eating at the restaurant a number of times. This was not unique though to Quarte Sayal, we found this to be the case in most places. The only exception was the beach restaurant on Maria Pia. We left beach umbrellas, chairs etc behind us. I think it would be a nice touch and more sustainable if these could have been left as an option for use within the apartment for the next people. We did also have an issue checking in as the price turned out to be for 4 people and even though I initially put the information that there was 5 in our party into booking.com, this property comes up as an option. When you book you get confirmation for 4 people and we were charged on check in then for the 5th person. Just be careful if your party is more than 4 to check what you are paying covers 5 etc.
The apartment was as described, there was plenty of room for 5 of us. The location is across the road from the beach but its not a beach I enjoyed (there is a smell of sewage). There are gorgeous beaches 20 minutes walk away for example Maria Pia. On Maria Pia there is the best restaurant we were at in Alghero - great food, friendly staff, recommend you go there 7/8pm and enjoy the sunset. We ate a few times at Quarte Sayal and the food is excellent and good value for money. The location is very near to the old town. Note the bus stops outside but you must have a P2 mask to board any bus, most tourists were unaware of this.

SpainWe had a bit of incident with the cleaning staff who insisted we were supposed to check out when we were not. Even though we showed her proof that we had a few more days of stay. She was a bit rude. Good thing another staff came by to correct her. Even though the other staff shouldn't have had to because we already showed her our proof of booking.
The location was fantastic. It was right in front of the beach and only a short walk from the old town. There were also a lot of important spots nearby including a supermarket. We also ended up booking a pretty big suite for the week we were there, and the price for that size of room + length of stay + location was fantastic. 10/10 would stay here again if we find ourselves in Alghero once more.

Perfect location very close to everything. Highly recommended for exploring the city, across the street from a beautiful beach & close to bus stations to/from the airport and other towns. We stayed in the family room (Corallo room), which was huge, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a mini kitchenette. Very clean and equipped with everything we needed.

GermanyThere was very bad wifi. In our bedroom “loyal” there was a kitchen but we had to pay extra to use it which has no sense if I pay for an apartment with a stove. There was a coffee machine but not even 2 capsules…
There was no breakfast included for the high rate.

SlovakiaWe miss the balcony/terrace a bit as we didn't have any space for drying swimmsuits and towels. Sometimes we punched to the head as our room was situated under the roof with timbers. A bit of noise from the street and trashbins, but not from the road and with closed window it was quite ok for sleeping.
Really kind and helpfull staff, possibility to leave the luggage there after check-out and pick it up in the afternoon. Nice environment, spacey room/appartment with possibility to pay (50€/stay) and use kitchen, as well. Table and chairs. Fridge, aircondition and TV was working ok. Bed was ok, 3 types of pillows to choose. Restaurant not the cheapest one (pasta about 15€) but worthy, really good food and absolutely full in the evening (with italians, as well). City beach really near, starting almost across the street. Nicer one, Maria Pia reachable by bus easily and fast (around 15min.). Bus stop in front of the hotel (as well as to the airport). City center 10-15min. by walk. Lot of restaurants on the way, at the port most of them (pizza under 10€) and in the historical center a bit more expensive, plenty to choose. Nice squares and tiny streets.
