Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaI didnt like the noise from the hallway. We had the first room. The front lady was talking to much on the phone on speaker!
The location is very nice and safe, very close to Trevi, Villa Borghese, Spanish Steps, etc. The room was pretty big and clean and we had everything we needed.

GreeceCouldn't get the hang of the TV set. Not a fan of the virtual registration process. I kept getting messages even after completing the registration process. No key or card. The building door and the hotel door opened by tapping a code. You need to have a smart phone and internet connection. It worked for us but be aware.
No breakfast (though there was a nice cafe right beside the entrance of the Relais and there was a good coffee machine and kettle for tea. Very comfortable bed, very nice bed linen, great bathroom with many quality toiletries, everything was spotless.

United States of AmericaThe only thing we think could have been better was cooler air conditioning. It wasn’t terrible, but the room could get a little warm. It was not bad enough to keep us from booking again though.
It was very conveniently located to all of the major sites. The staff is amazing!! Very comfortable room.

CanadaJust to be aware of access to the building after hours involves using your phone to unlock the door. This is very simple, just a matter of going to a website and clicking the open button, but it requires data access. The hotel staff were always there when we needed them but it isn't a traditional hotel in the sense that the front desk staff are not there over night. They were there about 12 hrs a day. The rooms are cleaned daily though and I would say the service was great.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Our room was very quiet although it faced the back of the building so a room on the other side might have heard more street noise. Very nice location next to a subway station but we usually didn't need it because it was a nice 30 min walk to many of the sights downtown.

LebanonOur stay at Relais Piazza Del Popolo was the highlight of our vacation at Rome! Staying at Relais Piazza Del Popolo makes you feel that you took a private apartment but still having access to daily room service. We did our check-in online few days prior to our stay at the hotel. After you finish your check-in, they will provide you with the virtual key that you will need to access the hotel. I was a bit hesitant about it at first but it was pretty easy and clear. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Once you arrive, they give you an overview of the city, and advice on where to go and how to go to the best spots in the city. They are very cooperative and helpful and will answer all your questions with patience and kindness. The location is the greatest thing about this hotel. It is 10 mins away from the Spanish Steps. 1 minutes away from the metro station and close to almost all touristic attractions in the city. The room was very comfortable. It was cleaned daily. We were offered cold water and a piece of candy at the end of each day to wish us good night. I will definitely come back to this hotel if I come back to Rome.

SpainReally nice place. Small room for improvement is that the accomodation is located in quite a big building so more specific directions to the entrance would have been good. Although the entrance is right beside metro exit which was convenient.
Staff were brilliant. Very helpful and friendly. Location was great. We only used public transport once to get from the airport. Entrance to building was to close to metro exit. Location is within walking distance of Vatican city, Colleseum and most of the major tourist spots. Very nice building, really well kept and cleaned daily. Really good value for money. Genuinely would stay here again if staying in Rome.

the property was spacious and stylish. it was comfortable with easy access to all Rome has to offer, conveniently located right next to Piazza del Popolo. the staff made it extremely easy for check in and looked after us well with daily amenities and service. I would definitely stay again! the elevator was an extremely appreciated necessity if you have several pieces of luggage!

United States of AmericaThe elevator is old and one night it did not work - probably because someone had not closed the door. We are elderly and were concerned about managing several flights of stairs. After contacting Booking the problem was resolved. The other concern was that when we first entered the building it was not clear how to find the room. Our reservation was for room 34 but we did not know it was on the third floor. Signage would have helped.
Our reservation with another accommodation fell through at the last minute so this reservation was last minute and we did not know what to expect. We were very pleased with this hotel. The room was great; the bed was great; and the location was walking distance to all of the attractions.

GreeceWe stayed for 4 nights. It would be nice to have our towels changed once. Also, in my opinion, there shouldn't be an option to add breakfast to your booking. You have to go to a cafe nearby for breakfast. When I booked our stay I hadn't realized it. I found out from the reviews. I chose to add it anyway because in the reviews they said that it was a nice cafe. As it turned out, this nice cafe closed and they sent us to one that is just not good. It is on a very busy street with no space to seat but only 4 tables on the pavement. It is also not very clean and the included "breakfast" was one coffee or a juice and one croissant or sandwich. We only went there once and looked for another cafe for the rest of the days. We found a fantastic one and there are also others that are very close to the hotel and are much better than the one included in the price. I would have liked from the hotel owner to at least acknowledge the fact that this wasn't a breakfast that one would pay for! Instead he tried to convince us that this is the "Italian way"....
Magnificent location. We could see the Porta del Popolo from our window. We could easily walk to Piazza Navona and see the sights or take the metro (the entrance is just outside the building door) to go further. I traveled with my mother. Our room was large. There was plenty of space for our luggage and to move around. It was cleaned every day.

United States of AmericaThe pillows weren’t the best. Also, we’re late sleepers and the noise in the hotel itself woke me up a few times. It was a little echo-y in the hotel. This is being very picky though. Overall I thought it was a great place to stay.
Location was amazing. 10 steps away from a metro stop. Great option for coffee just across the street and some further options 5-10 minutes walking away. There was an elevator so we didn’t have to lug our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Place was quaint and tucked away enough that there wasn’t any outside noise. Bed was comfy. Jacuzzi tub was a wonderful addition. AC in the room. Clean.
