Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaAbsolutely amazing hotel. Great location, just a few minutes to the Rialto and St. Mark's Square. Very clean, no noise, no smell except fresh croissants in the morning, great breakfast, great staff, Federico's recommendations on where to eat are worth paying attention to. We will definitely cone back here.

BelgiumThe room was a bit locked in and somewhat more difficult to ventilate. That was about the only minus.
The staff at the hotel are super friendly, and helpful. We've got tons of interesting tips about visits, restaurants, etc... . The hotel is perfectly located at the centre of Venice and easily reachable by vaporetto (best exit Rialto). The rooms were squeaky clean.

United States of AmericaBed was a bit hard and pillows too flat for our liking. Bedding was nice though!
Very cute and artistic vibe. Very welcoming to stay for awhile! Liked the welcome water and Bellini! Wish there was more water for the room though

United KingdomNothing our stay was lovely !
Relais Venezia is perfectly located for all the highlights of Venice . Our room was beautiful and it was lovely to have the bath and shower ! Staff were amazing and extremely helpful . If travelling with heavy luggage I would highly recommend using the hotels recommended water taxi service as it picks you up from the airport and drops you directly at the hotel which for us was well worth paying for . We visited lake Garda and Burano on our 4 day stay using the train and public water bus , very easy and again would recommend going a bit further to explore :)

EstoniaBreakfast was good, but you have to make a order what are you planning to eat in the evening before and also what time do you eat. As it was vacation, little bit difficult to arrive on right time, but nobody complained about being late and we got our food. But in the other hand I understand that policy, dining area is quite small.
Location is very good, between Rialto and San Marco. Room was also OK, with bath we enjoyed. Many thanks for Federico and Leonardo being so attentive, they sent us restaurant recommendations and everything else we asked for.

SwitzerlandNothing to complain about!
We booked for four days over New Year's Eve and were very well looked after by Leonardo and his brother Federico from the very first second and at all times. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square. The water cab takes you right to the hotel door! The hotel has just been renovated in recent years - we had a very nice room. Breakfast is included in the price; you choose what you would like on arrival. Everything is freshly prepared by Elena, who serves breakfast personally in the small, beautiful lounge on the 1st floor. Leonardo and Federico provide you with their restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, help you book a water cab, etc. We felt very comfortable and do highly recommend this small, pretty oasis to anyone. We will be back!

ChinaVery convenient to central Venice a 5-7 minute walk to Rialto and. 10 minute walk to the main piers for Murano and Burano. The staff were excellent, extremely well prepared with great suggestions for dining and sight seeing. Very attentive to specific requirements and also very responsive to questions. One of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel in a long time as far as service goes. A truly relaxing getaway.

United States of AmericaCan't think of a thing. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, immaculately clean We'd love to come again if and when we get another chance!
One of our most memorable and enjoyable vacation stays ever. More than adequate. Close walking distance to everything in a great walking city, yet not so close to the main tourist attractions and their throngs of tourists. We could open our windows and hear the music of gondoliers passing about 25 yards away calling "Oy! Oy-oy-oy-oy!" to negotiate the sharing of right-of-way at canal intersections with their mates. Many, many good restaurants and cicchetti wine-and-cicchetti bars close by. I can't say enough about the helpfulness of our hosts, Federico and Leonardo, who assisted us with water-taxi arrangements, restaurant reservations, and enjoyable conversation.
