Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Was little bit cold in room and there was nobody to turn on heating system. But OK for one night.

Sabino is a very nice and good host, the breakfast was typical, sweet italian. The Location of the B&B is perfect..near metro, .12min walk from Collosseum etc. The Location is perfect for Rom trip

This part of Termini is not that pleasant to walk at night. I’ve found a bad, but no breakfast.
Old house, feel yourself 50 years ago. It was not bad that time.

Very clean and spacy room with all necessary facilities. Helpful host, willing to share information about sights. The small fridge in the room helped completing the Italian breakfast to our "Nordic" taste. Located at walking distance from many sights.

We didn't need the air conditioning even though it was quite warm, as the room had high ceilings and a fan to keep the temperature down a bit. But if aircon is needed, it's an extra €8 per night.
Our room was a good size and spotlessly clean, and our host was very friendly and helpful, with lots of advice on where to go and how to get there. Although in a slightly downmarket area, it was only a block from a nice area (with an amazing gelato shop!). The Colosseum and forum area are 25-30 minutes walk away. It's 15-20 minutes walk from Termini station, but there is another Metro closer. We would definitely stay there again.

There was a split system air conditioner in the room but there was no obvious controls/way to turn it on and it appeared quite old (unsure if it is still working). Not overly impactful but if air conditioning is super important to you just be mindful of this in summer as Rome does get hot.
Clean, comfortable room in fairly central location, only about a 15 min walk from Rome Termini station. Very friendly and helpful staff, and breakfast offered although we had to leave very early so we missed our included breakfast. Room is simple, but comfortable, with all the basic amenities provided. Fan + window open was sufficient to cool the room overnight whilst sleeping in summer.

The location is close to the train station which is why we picked this accomodation but the area felt extremely unsafe.
The staff were lovely and the room was very clean and large.

Although it's close to the station I didn't enjoy the area too much. Fine for a short stay.
The property is near the Termini train station. The owners are friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and simple. Quiet area.

Just a small thing, it's not the easiest to find.
The location is excellent, 10 minutes from Termini or 5 minutes from the airport bus stops depending on which airport you are flying into. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The host is lovely and extremely helpful with any information. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Rome.

Limited facilities for a cup of tea with no coffee available, outside of room. Limited cups. Breakfast very basic with jam and rolls, but pleasant setting in hallway.
Location and value close to Termini good. Pleasant host who spoke English well and offered local advice.

The property was a bit old. Some tiles in the room were loose. Room was not very aesthetic.
Breakfast was good. The room was made up well. Room was spacious, bathroom was also decent sized. The complex in which the property was located felt quite safe. The host was very helpful, and polite.

Location is in a rough neighbourhood of Rome. Breakfast was okay not much options, but wouldn't have paid for it if it was not included in the room price.
Sabino was very nice and friendly. He gave us good tips. The room was very basic but clean. Close to the train station.
