Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom too hot and not able to turn the radiator off. Meant having to have windows open and it was quite noisy outside.
Clean room, good location, reasonable price.

United KingdomThe room had a strong smell of mothballs, but my friends room was perfect.
Good area, close to the main touristic places. They made the bed and change towels every day. They let us leave the luggage there and ordered a taxi without extra charge, super friendly!

IrelandThe only comment I have is about the window, which is not good at keeping outside noses out of the room. Given the road outside is very busy, you can hear pretty much everything.

ItalyThe fan for the heat started making a weird noise during the night, then stopped and then went on again. We weren’t whether we should bother the reception for that.
The position is very good cause the metro stop is very close and they have the reception open 24h; for us it was very convenient since we were in need to leave the luggage there while we were going around the city and just to come back later on for the check-in; they were very gentle and accommodating on us.

SwedenWhile the location seems good on the map (and it is indeed close to the colosseum) the area has quite some homeless people hanging around and this may feel unsafe/edgy for some people. Ventilation on the bathroom is faulty and the window facing the street would not lock.
Clean room with all basic accomodation facilities in a relatively decent shape. The person at the reception at night/early morning was kind and helpful.

SerbiaThe neighborhood is next to the main railway station, with all the good sides of it, as well as the bad ones. The street is very noisy if you are a light sleeper.
The location was very good since we could walk to every sight in the center of Rome. It was clean, and maintained every day. The view from the balcony was very good.

GermanyWhat didn't I like? The pillows could be more comfortable but there's nothing really to complain about, the 24hr reception is great, the workers friendly, the cleaners keen to make guests happy. We enjoyed the hotel immensely.
Close to Rome Central Station, at first sight the area is rough and poor. But look a little closer and it's a fascinating and vibrant multicultural suburb. The park on Sunday evening was crowded and lively, kids playing basketball, local families enjoying the cool of the evening. Take the time to read the local history signs in the park. There was a second hand book market in the colonnades around the piazza, the gelateria and cafes were marvellous. A metro station and a tram stop get you any where you want to go and it's an easy walk to the Colosseum. We had a great room with a balcony and a view onto the park! It's a one star property but it's well worth staying here.

United States of AmericaThe A/C doesn’t seem to work as much as you’d like it to, especially on a hot day. It takes a while to feel cool air and even then it isn’t enough. The bathroom was pretty dark and hard to see and the shower head needs to be tightened to the wall.
For a short stay, this is a great place. It is small, but if you aren’t spending much time in your room it’s alright. The beds and pillows are comfortable.
