O atendimento e a simpatia dos funcionários e o café da manhã foram os pontos que mais agradaram. O Quarto estava sempre limpo e arrumado quando regressava no final do dia. Super recomendado.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast offer was good, but could have offered toast, sliced meats or cheese options.

Clean and well presented Hotel and room located near beach, shops and restaurants. All the Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Ok... the weather was particularly hot in Sicily. When we booked, I obviously didn't read the small print, lesson learnt! The air conditioning is controlled at reception... We were told that when we checked in.. I made the assumption that because of the heat, they would air condition our room. No... We spent 3 nights barely being able to sleep because of the heat. What really topped it off... they ran the air conditioner in recrption at night. It didn't matter what time we returned from a night out, the reception area had the air conditioner running and very cool. If guests can't have cool rooms, it would make sense that no one should feel comfortable at night, including the one person city/ sleeping in the reception area. The only hotel in our 6 week stay North and South of Italy that we had this problem with.

I was working remotely but had problems with WiFi, terrible in the morning but much better in the afternoon. The hotel is opposite the beach which is fine but the road outside can be noisy.

I have to admit that Giardini Naxos did not meet my expectations. The place looks shabby in need of an facelift, broken sidewalks, outdated catering establishments etc., looks like a 1990,s place. Even the beach isn't that nice. I would prefer driving a few kilometres to nearby Fiumefreddo or elsewhere for a nice swim.

If you are looking for accommodation which is close to Taormina but not in Taormina itself then Giardini Naxos is an ideal location.

A couple of minor things to mention: Wi-Fi was not always strong enough and there was no fruit at breakfast (but huge amount of other things such as pastries, cereals, yoghurt etc....)

We had a room for three. All proper beds and very comfortable. Aircon in the room worked really well and kept the room nice and cool (temp was over 35 degrees every day). Nice big balcony facing the back which we used every evening. All staff were really nice and helpful. Overall a really great choice in a good location.

Just next to the hotel there are train rails so you can hear the train passing by but it is not so loud if your windows are closed.

The staff of the hotel was very friendly. Location was perfect, just across the road to the beach and restaurants. We were travelling with our small daughter, we got free baby bed into the room and also free upgrade. The room was nice, clean, with the terrace and garden view. Also as a bonus they allowed us to leave our car on their parking until the afternoon. Breakfast was good, it was a buffet with a lady serving us what we wanted.

The location is exceptional. The breakfast is great, although mainly sweet options which is probably an Italian tradition. Room was very clean, cleaning service came everyday and changed the towels. We could leave our luggage there after checkout, they even offered us a room where we can refresh ourselves before our flight home. Staff is super nice. We got a room with balcony to the garden, the balcony looks much better than in the photos, it was much bigger. We really did not regret, that we did not get the sea view room, this one was much quiter.

In the hotel description it says they have hotel parking and there is even a garage with a sign that says hotel parking BUT then you can’t park there since it’s apparently private. Instead you can park in a parking lot for 15€/day. We booked mainly because it said it has parking so we were pretty upset. The aircondition is centralised and you have to tell the reception to change it for you which is a bit unpractical. It was VERY loud every morning since the main street is next to the hotel. Rooms are very old and honestly a bit ugly. Bathroom is tiny. Matress in very uncomfortable. There hotel has a very weird smell.

The AC didn’t work in many of the rooms making it quite stuffy and uncomfortable.

The location is right in the middle of everywhere you want to be in Giardini Naxos. The staff is warm, inviting and so helpful. The breakfast was vast, generous and yummy!!

Internet signal was sometimes a bit weaker, but hosts are trying their best to improve it.

When you travel to Sicily you look forward to amazing architecture, history, culture, cuisine, beaches, nature, fashion, dolce vita. But at the end of the day, when you return to your accomodation tired , yet happy, it is important that you are being welcomed. We stayed in superior double room, which was nicely decorated with lot of love. Spacious double-room with big and comfy bed, lovely details, big terrace to enjoy your coffee or a glass of wine. San Giovanni hosts are amazing people, who take good care of their guests, a big THANK YOU to lovely ladies who took care that our room is always super clean and smell like strawberries , to amazing lady who served breakfast and made sure everything is fresh and tasty, to super helpful and communicative gentleman in the night reception who helped us with advices and made us feel safe and welcomed. Beach is just couple meters away, great restaurants in the vicinity, direct connection with Taormina and Catania Airport just steps away. We had a wonderful time and vacation in this hotel and we highly recommend it to all. Thank you making our stay amazing!
