We could not figure out the heating in the room but that was probably our fault and should have asked for help. There was an extra duvet in the room but found it on the very last day, so it’s generally our fault.

A family owned hotel. The room is clean and they provide a kettle and packets of coffee and sugar. The breakfast was a buffet, very good, filling and value for money. We actually enjoyed the hike up to the hotel and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

The hotel was situated in the mountain and the walk down to the town was lovely along the cobblestone. Had some nice time along the waterfront and the hotel was lovely with our own balcony

We asked for additional towels, but they forgot to give the to us. The walk to the hotel from the ferry dock was about 20 minutes all uphill.

I recommend this hotel if you have a car. The hike up from the lake and restaurants is very long, uphill all the way with many steps. If you are carrying a suitcase as we were it was exhausting. Also the town has only 3 or 4 taxis and you can’t count on them. If you go out to dinner as we did, there was no way to get back up the hill other than walking in the dark. The owner finally agreed to pick us up.

Lovely clean hotel with pleasant spacious rooms. Loved the pool and delicious generous breakfast. Good location being an easy 20 minutes walk from the centre, yes it’s a little uphill walking back but the incidental exercise is good to do!! They will transport you to the ferry for a fee if required. Very good value overall.

The location is not ideal, as it is a substantial hike from the city centre - not too far but up a steep hill that is difficult when carrying lots of baggage.

The space was larger than expected with two reasonably sizeable rooms and decently comfortable beds - the bathroom was also nice and modern. The staff were friendly and we were impressed by the pool and breakfast offerings.

The only downside of this accommodation was the location, it was at the top of a hill which in 30 degree heat felt like a mountain to climb. But it really wasn't that far from the main areas so it wasn't a massive problem and is probably quite common for the area!

The bed was very comfortable! And there was quite a large private terrace so we were able to sit out and have some drinks one evening. The room was really cool and came with a little AC and a huge fan. There was even a pool, we didn't utilise this but it looked very clean and if we had stayed for longer we may have done.

If you don’t have a car, prepare for the cardio of your life. The hotel is 15 minutes walking from ferry, but those 15 minutes are up, steep hill or a lot of stairs. It would be very useful a shuttle from ferry to the hotel especially when you have luggage.

Great view from the room. Big room with balcony and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. The pool only adds to relaxation. The stuff is really nice and tries to help you anyway they can.

There was no air conditioning and the fan they had was very noisy and could not stay up right. The hotel is pets friendly but the neighbours are not and that's a pity! Even though it is 15' away from Menaggio the way back is uphill so you need to consider that.

The room was huge with a big balcony and view to the mountains and a bit of the lake. Nice room with comfortable bed, big and nice shower. The staff was really kind and helpful! It is a pets friendly hotel. It is 15' away from the center of Menaggio.
