Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was a leak in the bathroom the first few days, had to use a towel to dry it up or step over it. Could sometimes hear some noise from other rooms using the shower. Neither was a deal breaker for us, but it could be for other people.
Nice stay in a perfect location, only 5 minute walk to Termini train station and 30 minute walk from the Colosseum. Great price for Rome to, was good value for money.

United KingdomA long time to check-in and could not find my booking for a while two young Japanese ladies also waited a long time and they had been traveling almost 24 hours. No storage space to unpack your suitcase - so two bedside cabinets for socks/t-shirts etc would have been better than open triangle shelfs. Bathroom - no toilet roll holder, No free standing towel rail , as no place to put towel - the bathroom shower glass screen the magnets when you close had no fixing - no soap dish/shower gel/shampoo tray when your taking a shower. Not a good area for lone travellers was warmed by locals about bag theft and on the metro with plenty of police and security about I saw a distressed robbery and felt for the woman., and her group and the approached by beggers/druggies after cash when you were trying to have a quiet coffee in McDonalds and security/police would chase them away my first time in Rome - had no problems in Venice in Oct -
The air con was very good at warming the room, nice giant flat screen tv with netflix and small fridge and expect in a hotel to have a kettle and tea/coffee making as there was a 'breakfast table below the giant tv and most travellers bring their own tea/coffee sachets in case and would buy milk to keep in the new fridge ( small note the shelf was still taped up and foam packing around the shelf), a microwave, The bed was made every day and fresh towels daily during my 3 nights- A microwave would be useful, as sadly the area felt 'a bit dodgy' to go out at night and thats a shame as a few restaurants I would have like to try but would not be relax walking back to Sunmoon entrance - the area just looked rough and the local council should do more as a lot of rubbish about too. it is city centre by the train station but was little street noise and the staff were friendly. I found sunmoon hotel on google maps but was not obvious from the street and obviously had a number of names changes even when I message to say what time I would be there it was like an apartment block and did not want to press the attention buttons so that could be updated. - there was a lot of decorating going on so maybe it was not fully open yet so sure they other points can be looked at, as this is meant to be positive comments to aid the next traveller.

MontenegroIn general, it can be assumed that there was no window in the room, since the shutters could not be opened. But if you came to Rome to look at the Colosseum, and not to sit in a room, then this is not such a big problem. It may also be confused at first by poor sound insulation, since in the room next to the reception you can literally hear people breathing in the corridor - but at night there was absolute silence and it was comfortable to sleep.
The staff really tries very hard and is attentive to their work, everyone is smiling and always greets you, asking if everything is OK in the room. The location of the hotel is very convenient, near the subway, train station, shops and there are a couple of pleasant places for breakfast. The room was generally old, but very clean and spacious. I think if you paid a little extra and rented a room in a hotel with a higher star rating, it would be very tiny - but here in the room there is even a work desk and the opportunity to conveniently arrange your belongings

GermanyThe water got hot pretty slow. Also when we entered there was somehow a weird smell, but after opening the window it was fine. The hotel floor was on the sixth floor. There was a small elevator. For us it was fine, but I imagine for larger people it's harder to fit and for wheelchair users aswell.
It was quite a big room with a spare bed (in our case, cause we were only 2 Persons). The room was cleaned everyday and we were provided a bit of soap, shampoo and fresh towels everyday.

United KingdomA bit of signage would help a lot in finding it.
Overall, a great stay. It was a little difficult to find as there wasn’t any clear hotel signage. Equally when you get in the building, it’s not obvious where to go to find the reception room. The room was clean and certainly big enough for us. We walk a lot on city breaks so it wasn’t a big deal for us to walk to all the sights, however Sun Moon is well connected with public transport, being a short walk from the bus and train terminal (takes 35 minutes from the train station to the airport). It’s also near a number of good restaurants, supermarket etc

AustraliaThe location was excellent - only a 5 minute walk from the train station, and we were able to walk into the heart of Rome to see the attractions. The room was good, not fancy but it had everything we needed and we had enough space and it was very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly and let us leave our luggage with them while we explored before check-in. I loved the lift - it was 120 years old and needed both the inside and outside doors shut to work - a touch of old world charm. We were a bit confused on entering the building because there are several businesses within it but we followed the black rubber matting to the office at the top of the ramp. The hotel was excellent value for money and we couldn't have done better for the price - and the town tax was very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay here.

TurkeyPrice was good, Location was very close to Termini station… it was a strange building rather than a typical hotel but it will meet your expectations if you will use the room just to sleep. Lift (elevator) was very old but at least it carried us safely. The room was cleaned every day.

LithuaniaWe waited for staff around 30min just to check in to the room. Some of bathroom areas was a bit dirty, but overall ok. Cleaning staff clogged the toilet by putting all the trash to the toilet. :(
