Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was quite small and there were no drawers to put anything, so had to keep all our underwear and Tops etc in the suitcase. (although plenty of space in the wardrobe to hang things)
The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was very good.

There was a mistake over our room booking at the beginning. The hotel put this right the next day, but it would have been better if they had informed us of the mistake on arrival.
Good location. Within walking distance of Vatican and the city centre. Also buses close and a metro station quite close. Very good breakfast, with a lot of choice. The restaurant serves excellent food in the evenings, and makes a nice change from the standard tourist menus.

Great location. With their help I found the Termini Station easily. Good recommendation where to eat. I did show up very early as my flight arrived quite early, so I waited a while for my room. Not their fault, but I was very tired since I didn't get any sleep from my 10 hr flight. Great breakfast selection.

Classic European city SMALL room. Needed to keep window open bc warm temps which was loud on weekend night bc of bar around corner. (They may have AC in the summer but it wasn't on yet. )
Great location - close to river, Vatican, and many restaurants. Friendly front desk staff, plentiful breakfast buffet, roof garden patio for breakfast (in addition to indoor space).

The corridors were noisy at night. The rooms were not sound proof and I could hear the neighbours talking.
The staff were incredible. The location is good. It’s a 20minutes walk to the Vatican and about the same to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain. It’s a little further to the Colosseum but we walked it twice seeing loads of other points of interest along the way. It’s a safe area.

The room was very hot and less ventilation. Beds were very uncomfortable, very hard structure. There were also no bed cover, sheets.

The bed was so uncomfortable. Hard as rock. It was also very noisy when other people came into and left their rooms. The walls were very thin.
The staff were incredible. Some of the most helpful people you could wish for. It was close to walk to Vatican City. Good and safe location. A longer walk to the other sights but very “doable” so that wasn’t a problem for us. The airport shuttle was a huge plus for us. Plus they were so kind and stored our luggage after we had checked out.

Smell from the drainage in the bathroom at random times ( I don’t think anything can be done about that). We were staying at the fifth floor right below the breakfast area, which also had a bar. During our stay there was a loud corporate event/party which went on until 1 in the morning.
I liked the location between the Vatican and the “ancient” quarter, with less tourists and various shops and cafes nearby. Excellent staff, polite and responsive to our requests, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds.

- The room was very noisy. Not good insulation. - On the top of the noise there was a construction at the very next room and drilling was starting at 9am sharp. That was unacceptable - No one answered a private message in this app - The breakfast was average, for example the croissants were badly baked and probably you could find them in a supermarket in a better version.
- Location was amazing. - The property and room were super clean. Very appropriated that.

The room was too hot and we were not able to stop the AC, it was still blowing hot air even when it was put on 5 degrees and stopped. It was a bit of a problem as we got up in the middle of the night to open the window.
Great position, close to most attractions. Very clean, breakfast was okay but not the greatest, still a good variety. They are very helpful on what you need.

The room was pretty small for 2 people with big luggage. May be because it was at a very central location.
The hotel is in a prime location with Vatican museum just a 10 mins walk. It has modern artsy interiors. The buffet breakfast had a variety of cakes.

We had a problem with the shower which was hot then cold all the time. The room was a bit small with no drawers/cupboards to unpack our clothes. We had to ask a couple of times for tea bags and .ilk
The room was very clean and comfortable and serviced every day. The staff on reception and in the bar were fabulous. The hotel is brilliantly located with everything within walking distance
