Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyFor the room cost I have to say that the WiFi was at best, unreliable/sketchy and not working for extended periods. also our mini bar had been drink and filled up with water by the previous guests and items had not been checked or replaced.

IsraelThe internet service could be better. connection is unstable and requires login every few hours. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work. Breakfast service is not very efficient (we had to wait in line to get food), the eggs were always cold and there are no vegetables. in terms of ski, the hotel is not really ski-in ski-out and it’s better to buy the ski pass on the slopes rather than in the hotel as it is more expensive.
A great place, cosy and designed beautifully. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The SPA is very nice and dinner was also very good. The ski rentals service is very good.

ItalyWe had one issue with service one time at dinner but the next day at lunch the head waiter apologized and offered us a couple glasses of wine to say sorry. Then the maître d called our room to apologize as well and offered us a nice table with special service that night. We appreciated the effort and made everything
Excellent new property in Val di Luce with a lovely spa/pool area that is just steps from the ski school and ski lifts. We ate at the restaurant multiple times and enjoyed every meal and found the prices to not be excessive. The bar and sitting area is very relaxing with typical modern-mountain decor that really puts you in the mountain mood. The ski rental service and nightly ski instructor visit was very convenient and a huge bonus for hotel guests. This is a great hotel for first time skiers.

Italywe did a lot of travel in the past 20 years, never once experience an electricity shutdown in the hotel room! and that what happened in the 1st night!!! there was no electricity for few hours in the room, the management moved us to the same type of room but minus the balcony ( while I specifically asked for a balcony /terrace in the room because the kids want to play snow!!). the previous room has a perfect terrace for the kids! i already informed the concierge to changed back to our original room, yet NOTHING happened till the rest of our stay such a disappointment. and with that incident, no one in the concierge/front desk said “sorry for what happened!” , and they just said: “ we moved you already!” well, for “resort and spa type of hotel” its not that kind of hospitality that I expect! but in the light of disappointment and dissatisfaction, at least the room boy that helped us moved the room sincerely said “sorry” I tried the hot stone massage, it was 20 mins late from the appointment, and it was just okay.
the location is so great, nearby the skii lifts the restaurant inside the hotel offers yummy food and the staff in the restaurant was very friendly, helpful and nice

DenmarkOur recent stay at Val Di Luce hotel was unfortunately not up to par. Despite the kind lady who checked us out, the majority of the staff seemed unhelpful and inattentive. Dinner service was a letdown, with our food arriving before our drinks. While we understand the exceptionally warm summer, it was a bit disappointing that the hotel lacked air conditioning (though I guess it is rarely needed). Nonetheless, even with open balcony doors and drawn curtains, the very bright lights in the pool remained on all night, making it difficult to sleep. They were unfortunately unable to turn off the lights. Although the spa had a lovely atmosphere and featured an outdoor pool, it was not fully functional, and the staff's assistance left much to be desired. Fortunately, the receptionist at check-out was understanding about the situation. Considering the price we paid, the overall experience and level of service at Val Di Luce hotel were quite disappointing.
On a positive note, Val Di Luce hotel is beautifully located, nestled in the mountains, offering breathtaking scenic views. Its proximity to Abetone provides easy access to numerous great hiking trails, adding an adventurous touch to the overall experience. With the potential for a more enjoyable experience, especially if the staff become more attentive and responsive, Val Di Luce hotel could offer a promising stay for guests seeking a scenic mountain getaway.

United KingdomThe restaurant. At dinner it seemed a trainee was working and you could see he was nervous but I felt he was under pressure. So to this he did not approach people. My pasta carbonara was undercooked but the egg was scrambled. I couldn’t eat it. When waiter came to take my plate I explained that it was too touch and he just took it away. We waiting med for our wine glass to be filled for half an hour. I had to seek the head staff and he came and gave us a glass for free. Breakfast!! It seemed first comes first served. We arrived 8.30 and there was no juice no ordinary milk - through your breakfast I did not see anybody fill anything. The fruit was gone, no juice no milk….

United Arab EmiratesProvided with plastic cups, no in room tea and coffee, kettle provided. Room is not as cosy as it looks on the photos on booking.com. something that seems to be more of a common scenario when booking through this site. Staff need to know more about what services are available at the ski rental, ski mountaineering guide services, etc. This is extremely helpful as a foreigner visiting a new area. Providing plastic cups does not reflect a commitment to sustainability. Not checking that empty body wash is refilled before check in just makes this a very ordinary hotel.
location, staff, breakfast and dining experience was excellent.

IsraelEverything is at an additional price, with no real reason (the hotel was half empty and yet they charge for parking in the middle of nowhere). The spa (albeit nice) is only for limited time for some reason and, of course , comes at an extra charge. Breakfast was very bad. Breads and pastries were stale, eggs/bacon were cold, no vegetables. Dinner was overpriced and mediocre at best. Our car was snowed in and they were supposed to help but the guy left us in the snow until we just dug ourselves out. All in all- no value for money, you pay a lot only for a room, and then get poor service and food, and with no extra amenities
Spa was great, beautiful setting and very nice experience overall. The room was decent and large, with a nice view

Saudi Arabia1- if your coming without a car you should consider the transportation from Abetone to the hotel. because there are no taxi. (when we called the hotel to get information they were rude saying we dont have the pick up service) 2- at the check-in when checking the green pass, and as we were coming from outside Europe, the guy in the reception when we showed him our green pass, the threw the paper on the desk and said no this does not work here! although the Italian Ministry of Health accepts foreign green pass! 3- the suite was beautiful and clean but no tissues, trash cans, slippers or water. 4- safety box was broken 5- we took the dinner reservation at 9 pm, we waited there for 20 mins to get the menu and also got us the wrong dish! 6- there were hotel car that takes to and back to ski, and when we called to get back to the hotel we waited for 40 mins freezing! although the hotel was 5 mins by car away.
the hotel was clean and very beautiful with good value.

IrelandThis is not a complaint but an observation. The restuarant probably needs a few more staff, as they were running at full tilt the whole day. Could you install charging points in the rooms and the louge for mobile devices. The Vdl wifi is not very good.
The spa was very good. The pools were really great to relax in after a days skiing. The breakfasts were very good and the restaurant staff were very helpful. The matre d is excellent. Matteo at reception needs a medal for his going the extra mile to help. Great welcome on arrival. The restaurant meals were great and the half board option is good value and super menu choice. The rooms are really good proportion and the family suite was a good choice for us.
