Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyHistorical building, our room was 5 meters high and had a four-poster bed in the middle. Sensational breakfast and very attentive hosts. Good private parking space. Quiet location and only 5 minutes walk from the center and some nice restaurants and bars. We would book again at any time.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. We were kindly given a free upgrade to a suite and the room was humongous. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was great (the complimentary shampoo was also really wonderful) and there was plenty of space for my partner to catch up on work. Breakfast every day was incredible - a huge array of pastries (and not just your standard croissants), fresh fruit, bread and olive oil from the hotel’s own trees, pizza, meats and cheese, and a choice of eggs, as well as the option to have cereal or yoghurt. The very best bit though was the amazing staff. Lorenzo and his family were so welcoming, so kind, and especially as we were travelling with our newborn for the very first time, made us feel so safe. I would absolutely come again.

United KingdomThe fact we forgot to buy some hand pressed handmade at the villa olive oil. The special chefs combination of blended olives was exceptional and I'm not a fan of olive oil until I came here.
Before even going in, the car park was very spacious for our van and the entrance had a luxurious feel. The family who have had the residence in five generations were absolute pros. Courteous, considerate, very kind and went well beyond what you would expect and we have experienced elsewhere in Italy. The feeling of warmth and deep passion for what they do and for people and food blew us away. Breakfast was especially made for my vegan needs in addition and everything but one pasty was handmade and you can tell. I felt like I had a Michelin star breakfast. We were upgraded as a kind gesture and the room was exceptional. Clean and everything you could want. Beautiful decor and a real gem. Recommend to anyone in the area. We visited Florence not too far away and this Villa was a break from pure chaos. We loved every aspect. You would be a fool not to stay there.

United Kingdomthere was nothing i didn't like
The breakfast here was amazing, we were spoilt rotten with fresh eggs which i would highly recommend, there was fresh bread with amazing olive oil and fresh pastries. We were there in January which is out of season still the communication between us and site was so helpful. when we arrived on site the host could not be more accommodating they upgraded us to a stunning room, the whole place was breathing taking. the host gave us a map of the local town and advised the best places and what was local. there is parking on site. This was really value for money. If you want to be left alone this is the place for you, or if you want to be treated like family this is also the place for you. this would be an amazing place to hold a wedding or event. they also offer cooking lessons. There is a fridge in the room and tea and coffee is provided.

United KingdomWe had a wonderful trip and were superbly looked after by Lorenzo and his family. The location is a great base to explore Tuscany and the local town is charming. I thoroughly recommend Lorenzo's cooking class/olive oil and cheese and wine tasting experience - we had so much fun and learned lots!! We hope to come back to stay.

ChinaWe had a wonderful 5 nights stay and loved our stay very much. The family-run villa is excellently maintained and living in a medieval villa Made of stones is definitely a great experience. All members of the owner's family are so friendly and always with a nice smile. The breakfast was also excellent with a good variety of breads, hams and is serviced by super friendly staffs. With a nice view to the Tuscany mountains, every morning's breakfast is a very enjoying experience. The location of the villa is also excellent for us. With a car, it is ca. 30 minutes drive from Florence and you can also drive easily to other Tuscany towns, like Siena. The town Can Casciano is amazing too, it is small but with a good amount of lovely local restaurants. In the center of the little town, there is also a big kids' playground area, which of course suits perfectly for us with a two-year old child.

United KingdomWiFi is hopeless but this was a minor inconvenience for us staying at such a lovely place with such fantastic hosts.
Fantastic room of epic proportions decorated and furnished with sympathy to the 700 year old vintage of the building. Has been in the same family for 6/7 generations - they and their staff are absolutely fabulous and treat you like old friends. Great location - overlooks fantastic country side at the back yet a short walk to the town of San Casciano at the front. Cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful experience.

United States of AmericaLorenzo, his family, and the entire staff were wonderful! They were attentive, provided great recommendations, and were extremely friendly. We were thrilled to have stayed there for 4 nights, and are looking forward to staying in the future. Additionally, it was in a great location - right on the edge of San Casciano and walkable to great bars and restaurants, while still accessible to Florence (25 minutes by car) and other great areas of Tuscany. We will miss cocktail hour at Villa Il Fedino!

We loved our stay at Villa Il Fedino. The villa was beautiful, in a great location and our room was large and had good character. Breakfast was delicious and made even better by the amazing view! Our hosts were lovely and extremely hospitable. We especially loved the cooking class we had with Lorenzo - it was a really fun afternoon, filled with various tastings and a delicious lunch.
