The place is amazing. The view is beautiful, the pool, the garden and room are super clean. Food is great. Even the burger was top level. The room is cleaned and organized twice a day. They offer shuttle to the city (Florence).

IrelandUnfortunately for most of the days it’s just fine dining on offer, we enjoyed the fine dining restaurant but don’t really want that four days in a row. The more casual restaurant was only open one of those days and it was empty. There’s nowhere to walk to so you do need a car to reach somewhere more relaxed. The spa area allowed small children to jump in and out of the jacuzzi, scream and shout, I went for a spa treatment, arrived early to relax but sadly I had to leave with all the noise. I asked the staff if there was another area but was told outside might be quieter ( it was 36 degrees) . When I went back at the time of the treatment the children were leaving. In all the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in it simply wouldn’t be allowed, a spa is for relaxation, you are paying €125 for a massage and shouldn’t have to listen to screaming, there is an outdoor pool for that type of behaviour. Don’t think that it’s going to be a complete tranquil haven as there were many very loud family’s and children staying so around the pool was pretty noisy, balls and frisbees flying about. I’d left my children with my parents as I didn’t think it was really a holiday for kids.
Villa la massa was amazing, the staff went above and beyond with their level of service. The restaurants were both very good, breakfast each morning overlooking the river was fabulous. The spa therapist gave a wonderful massage and facial. The chef came out each day to ask everyone if they enjoyed their meal. The hotel rooms are gorgeous, the bathrooms were spacious, everywhere is absolutely spotless. The pool area was very well maintained, always someone to get you water, a towel. All the staff were just so friendly.
