Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe only hiccup with staying in or near Sorrento is parking where you stay. The roads are incredibly narrow and requires great confidence to drive your rental to the various Villas on Upper Sorrento. Villa Pane has a shuttle schedule to transport guests to and fro town as well as a pickup service if you park your car in a nearby parking area. The negative is that you are always on a time schedule at night.
Great Villa with great staff. Has a wonderful restaurant with a nice view of Sorrento and harbour. Everything met our needs. Appreciate the shuttle service and everything the staff does to shuttle the guests.

United KingdomThe breakfast was a bit disappointing considering the rest of the food on offer for lunches and dinner, but this didnt really detract from everything else which was brilliant!
Loved the quiet location in the hills, but with the knowledge that you could easily reach Sorrento with the shuttle service. Absolutely loved the homemade food for lunch and dinner - a real culinary experience!

AustraliaNothing that we didn’t like. Travellers need to be prepared to ensure use of shuttle down to Sorrento and lunch and dinners prepared at the property.
Property was very nice. Wonderful bed and breakfast. Great view down on Sorrento. Luigi and the family were wonderful hosts who couldn’t do enough for you and helped arrange travel plans and any other needs. The shuttle was a must as the property has a very small entry road that is inaccessible by taxi. Home made dinner offered was delicious and great quality. Rooms are quaint and clean. Overall had a great experience staying here.

United KingdomReally great location with stunning views from the room over the bay. The shuttle service was convenient, travelling to and from the hotel into Sorrento. We enjoyed the wine on an evening and liked the breakfast on the morning. Due to limited time, we only stayed for one night, really wished we had more time to stay for longer.

United KingdomAlthough the free shuttles are brilliant, they run on a set timetable which means you do need to plan your schedule around them. We found that fine but can imagine it wouldn't work if you wanted the flexibility of wandering out into Sorrento whatever time you wanted. It is a compromise of getting more peace and quiet out of Sorrento (and a nicer hotel for the price) for more planning of your schedule.
The view over the town is absolutely stunning - highly recommend an ocean view room as waking up and going to sleep to that view was just wonderful. It was really nice to be away from the bustle of the town to relax in the peace and quiet - I especially loved lying in the hot tubs for hours reading. The free shuttles are really easy to use and book, and are an experience going down the super steep and narrow roads from the hotel! Luigi is fantastic for any issues you have, he could not have been more helpful. The lunches and dinners are delicious. They are slightly pricy but no more than what you'd pay in a nice restaurant in Sorrento, and it is all home cooked freshly for you! The highlight was sharing a whole spiegoli fish with my husband as the sun set - literal magical moment of the holidays with the best fresh fish I've ever had. And of course, I cannot go without saying what a good boy Guido the hotel dog is - the most lovely and friendly boy who just wants to say hi every time he sees you! Overall we had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend.

JerseyI liked everything about this booking, the site itself is astonishing, the view is absolutely wonderful. The staff was the best ever, from making us always so welcome to going the extra mile looking out for our comfort. A special reference to Luigi, thank you very much. We'll definitely be back.

United KingdomThe towels didn't look the freshest, we had quite a number of ants in our room from day 1 that continued to grow. The staff were quick to assist, however, the solution was not pleasant, and left the room and our belongings smelling of vinegar. This resulted in us not being allowed food or drink in the room, due to the chance we could encourage more. No taxis will take you right up to the villa due to the narrow road so bare this in mind if the shuttle times do not suit.
GUIDO the Golden Retriever was the HIGHLIGHT. The location and villa were beautiful and the staff were pleasant. The shuttle was easy to arrange and made the Villa more accessible. The villa and shared shuttle commute, allowed us to socialise and meet other guests which was a welcomed addition to the holiday. The shuttle added to the authentic Italian experience.

GuernseyThe shuttle bus was very convenient but sometimes it was a bit of a faff to get up the hill and taxis were expensive for such a short (but uphill) journey.
Wonderful hosts with great family atmosphere. The food was wonderful when we ate at the hotel but didn't realise there was a cooking class too, which was very popular. The views from the hotel were amazing and it was lovely and quiet up the hill away from the hustle and bustle of the main town.

IrelandThe location is hard to find and reach. Extremely narrow road to access their parking. Only recommend by the host if you have a really small car, like a fiat 500. We rented a fiat panda and managed to get there but it wasn’t easy. As even the host mentioned to us, only do it if you are a good driver. We were driving downhill and we weren’t able to see the sign to the property, maybe it’s easier to spot it if you were trying to get there coming from the opposite direction. We also didn’t have a chance to use the outdoor jacuzzi as they close it at 19:30 and only opened at 10:30, it was a shame as the view from the garden was stunning and we could have being just chilling in the water watching the sunset.
The view from the room balcony is beautiful. We were able to watch a beautiful sunset.

United KingdomThe location although nicely out of the busy town was difficult to get to.
lovely property that overlooks Sorrento town and the bay, but really difficult to get to. we couldn’t get a taxi to the hotel or have a transfer car meet us, so we were taken down the narrow winding roads to meet our transfer further down the hill. I recommend having the food here as although you can get into town, the transfers from the little car from the hotel to the town are not regular and depending on how many people want to travel. The food at the hotel is excellent and the chef does cookery classes, which are very well received.

United KingdomThe restaurant didn’t have a price guide for the meals. I found that disconcerting so felt that our food bill was hirer than I would have chosen, although the food was excellent
The shuttle was brilliant. If I’d had confidence it would have been so good I wouldn’t have hired a car. I loved the location and the family were a delight.

FinlandRoom was little bit dark and view from our balcony was not so good.. photos of Villa Pane are not so realistic. They made cleaning every day but still the floor was little bit dirty and they didin't change towels.. maeby it is better ask for that. Quality of breakfast changed allmost everyday, it was little bit weird and bread was hard sometimes. We ate dinner in there and it was super expensive!! At first we asked for the prices and they said that it depends on what you eat..
We had really cozy feeling in there. We felt that we are welcomed to Villa Pane. Luigi and Anne Marie are easy going persons.. The view was amazing from Villa Pane balcony. And you can sit in there and hang around. It was nice to stay away from Sorrento city. Villa Pane is peacefull and they had garden in there with full of lemons. Shuttle was really helpfull! You can contact them by whatssup and they were flexible. Breakfast was some mornings really good and they made for you eggs if you asked.

CanadaAs we were near the ocean it was very humid and we found everything stayed damp. Even though we hung our towels it would have been nice to have fresh each day. The hotel had a shuttle service into town but at times the timetable for pickup was a bit inconvenient.
The staff was exceedingly friendly and always helpful. The view from our balcony was outstanding, as we were high up we had a view of the ocean. We had two very excellent evening suppers at the hotel, both prepared by one of the owners.
