Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe struggled with the 80 plus steps up to the apartment after a full day walking. The kitchen is very basic with nothing provided in terms of tea/coffee etc. The bathroom is tiny and at over 6"2' tall quite difficult to access as the door is extremely low. The living space is also very small and not really adequate for 4 people but not a huge issue for us as we didn't visit Florence to sit in the apartment watching TV! We messaged the host on arrival who explained that they were checking in someone else and said she would buzz us in to the star well where we could wait for her to arrive which was around 20 mins. Automated check in would be preferable after a long journey. It came as a surprise that the city tax wasn't included in the price and was only payable in cash on arrival this came to 66 Euro for the 4 of us for the 3 nights. Luckily we did have some cash on us to pay it. Decor is a little tired in places.
The apartment was clean and very quiet at the rear of the building so we avoided all the noise from the street below and slept very well. Comfy beds and nice bed linen. Windows have shutters and there is air conditioning in both bedrooms. We were in a two bed apartment number 3. The location was fantastic just around the cornet from the Palazzo Vecchio and just a couple of hundred yards from the Ponte Vecchio. Good size dining room with large table. Good value overall given the location and cleanliness. Host was very pleasant.

United States of AmericaThere was some noise from partiers walking past late at night.
The location was very convenient to everything in Florence! We planned to take the bus from the train station, but missed the last one. Just as well as it’s an easy 15 minute walk. The small nearby square had live instrumental performances most nights, which was a pleasant welcome home. Hosts were extremely responsive with a small issue. Beds were very comfortable!

United KingdomThe apartment had minimal cooking utensils and no basics such as salt, sugar or coffee.
The apartment was in a great location in the heart of Florence. It was easy to get to and the communication with the hosts/agency was good.

United KingdomThe photos are all mixed up of numerous properties so it wasn’t clear what we were going to get, and I only realised afterwards that the 2 bed apartments do not have a roof terrace. Our information said that the apartment would be on the second or third floor. It was on the 4th floor up 7 flights of stairs. The very central location means there is a lot of noise from the street, and the lack of soft furnishings means that noises within the apartment sound very loud also. The only welcome pack is a bit of soap, shampoo & conditioner. No coffee, sugar, milk or any snacks. If you arrive hungry or thirsty then you will have to go out straight away to find somewhere.
Great location- very central. The beds were comfy and we had enough towels, crockery etc for the 4 of us. Nicely decorated and enough furniture for us all to be able to unpack and enjoy the space.

United States of AmericaBe warned, there are 79 steps up to the 2 bedroom apartment and no elevator. It was fine for us because we had backpacks, As stated in the description the 2 bedrooms do not have access to the terrace. You can see it from one if the windows. The kitchen supplier were fairly sparse and did not have any basics.
The location was in the center of town and easy to reach from the train station. Rooms were comfy and there was a nice living area. The place was very comfortable for four adults.

AustraliaAir con was not working…it’s a very old building and there’s no lift so moving all the luggages up and down was something you might want to have a second thought about.
Close to a lot of attractions that we had planned to visit. The room was quite spacious with interesting furniture.

United States of AmericaMany, many medieval steps - difficult to carry the suitcases up and down - but we knew that ahead of time. One apartment had narrow steps, the other had wider ones. Very small shower. The location and price were ideal, but rather noisy at night.
On a very rainy day, our driver from the airport suggested he call the agency and confirm the time of our arrival. They allowed us to check in a couple of hours early, even though the two apartments were not yet ready. We could leave the suitcases there which was very kind. Close to everything, and best part of town!

AustraliaThe key handover was one hour late even though we were there at the agreed time. One hour with tired kids is so long and it took them more than half an hour to respond to our messages so the first half hour we didnt even know what was happening. No laundry facilities in building - nearest is about 10 min walk. Suggest using dryer at laundromat as apartment isnt well ventilated enough to dry clothes. Wifi and internet reception werent awesome
The apartment was a good size for Florence. As per the listing - be prepared for lots of stairs. Location is amazing!! And apartment is pretty quiet as it faces an indoor courtyard. Kitchen is functional for making simple meals. When we realised it was missing a tea towel, the host delivered one very quickly. Bedrooms are very pretty and comfortable and well sized. Liked having both a dining table and a couch

United States of AmericaNo extra welcoming perks such as coffee or water. The bathroom was not desirable no water pressure at all and cold. Top floor 7 stair cases we didn’t mind but if you are not in good shape it could be a problem. No elevator.

United KingdomA top-floor apartment means a lot of stairs to climb. Absolutely fine for us, but I guess it might be a problem for some. (Good practice for the Duomo and the Campanile :) )
Great location. Nice rooftop terrace. (Bonus: if you climb the Duomo or the Campanile, you can point and say "look, there's our terrace!")

United States of AmericaBE ADVISED- those lovely outside patios in the pictures ---you do not necessarily have access to them! We thought they were common area, but were advised that Yome has multiply properties, in multiple buildings and the lovely patio overlooking the duomo is a part of one particular unit, not a shared space. The listed "City view" on my confirmation was simply the side of building and a street below.
Loved the location! Walking distance from the cathedral, Uffizi, many other galleries, markets, restuarants. The place was very clean. A little challenging at first to navigate the 6 doors you needed to go through to get to the property, but once you get used to it, no big deal. It was genrous in size for Italy

United States of AmericaBathroom is narrow and small with no counter space for anything. Wifi info was not provided in advance, nor was it listed in the unit and Simone communicated via WhatsApp which required Wifi, so we had to search for Wifi to let her know. TV did not work, which they sent someone to try and fix. Also, they only left 2 partially used rolls of toilet paper for 4 people/3 nights so we ran out the last the last night and there were no back up supplies in the unit. Simone said they could bring some the next morning, which didn't help us. At 9:30pm we were walking around the city in search of toilet paper, which was loads of fun...
Great location, walking distance to everywhere you want to go. Good size unit. Instructions to gain access into building and unit were good. Reminder to US consumers that the 2nd floor, is really the 3rd floor in Europe.
