Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JordanGreat facilities, clean room (we got a sea view). Pools are clean with crystal clear water. Breakfast was scrumptious. More than enough mud in the post to do the usual 'Mud & Swim' at the beach. Allowed to put my solar panel out in the parking area to keep batteries charged for car fridge/freezer.

LebanonThe property is vast and probably needs better signage for a first time visitor to find their way easily around it.
A variety of big pools. Direct private access to the Dead Sea beach. Spacious rooms with spacious balconies. Generous room amenities.

United Arab EmiratesWhen we arrived the man that brought our luggage waited awkwardly in the room until we tipped him. We didn't ask for our luggage to be brought up, they just took them from us as we were entering the hotel, which is completely fine and standard procedure but I thought it came across quite cheeky/rude to wait in the room until we provided a tip.
Nice hotel located on the dead sea. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome at the reception. Take note that they try to sell you the dinner package at the restaurant for 57/2 people. We only paid for one dinner and then had room service the next night. The dinner at the restaurant was good, but far too much and I'm not sure if it was worth the price- mix grill chicken was overcooked. Better to go a la carte. The hotel says they have a Mexican restaurant, but that has closed and there is no food served at the adult pool, which was a shame as this is where we spent most of our time apart from the sea. The sea part of it was nice, had the mud and showers. It would be nice if there were some soft drinks available to purchase while spending a few hours there. If you have the chance to drive 30 minutes further south there are many amazing places to get great pictures of the dead sea, along with the salt formations. They didn't have this at the hotel, but the swimming experience was still good! The pool bar menu was alright from what we had, shawarma and chicken tenders. Half the main pool was closed off. The room service pizza was average, the cheesecake was okay and the brownie was below average.

GermanyLot of the services included in the listing were only available at an additional charge, mainly SPA (Sauna etc). The Dead Sea is not accessible at sunset and also the pools, which we found quite annoying, but I guess is hotel policy.
The hotel is very commercial. However the location is great, right at the Dead Sea with private access. Included breakfast buffet is huge and the rooms very comfortable as expected from a commercial chain hotel.

United KingdomNothing. It was pretty much perfect.
Staff are all super friendly and helpful. We ate in the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was very good. The pool areas are clean and with plenty of sunbeds and shade. The beach also has lots of sunbeds and staff on hand to help with any requests. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Free soft drinks in the mini bar were a big bonus. There is also free tea and coffee. All in all, we had a great stay, and I could find no fault with the hotel. Be aware there are steps and a fairly steep slope down to the beach. Most will manage it easily but anyone with mobility issues may struggle. Also, take swim shoes as the sea has lots of rocks. Late check iut is also available for 50 JOD - this extends the room to 6pm. However, there are excellent changing facilities at the pool on level 1 (near the beach)

GermanyThe hotel has all the other “local” characteristics too. Most women wear hijab and burkini at the pool and beach. Young groups are usually crowds of men in their 20s and 30s. Most women and girls are either with family or absent. There are very many day guests who leave again in the evening. People who drink alcohol at the beach make sure to hide it well, since the alcohol area is restricted to one swimming pool. It is definitely the most crowded and noisiest of the Dead Sea hotels… Holiday Inn is in the same price range and much more international.
I stayed at several international hotels at the Dead Sea. Crown Plaza is the most “local” of the international hotels. It is very family friendly and full of kids. The food there is extremely delicious and the spa absolutely worth the visit, but costs extra. The hotel is very affordable. I had a great time at Crown Plaza and I would stay there again!
