Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRooms were SMALL, even for japans standard. Bathrooms were particularly poor and setup in strange ways that made showing an uncomfortable experience. I’ve been to plenty of other hotels in Tokyo that didn’t have this issue that were the same size. Rooms felt dated and the provided sheets and yukatas felt scratchy and uncomfortable (likely from being old and being over bleached multiple times).
Lobby looked nice and the price was one of the most reasonable in the area at the time

Vietnam1st: the room is tiny, even for 2 asian girls. It does not fit 2 person standing haha. Moreover, the wc door opens outwardly so it makes the room smaller and you can’t put your luggages near that door. Also you can’t fully open your size24 luggage there. 2nd: the room is a little bit stuffy sometimes so we have to keep the air-con on. 3rd: the self-checkin process was a disaster for us. They had 1 staff and 2 trainees at that time but it took us almost 1 hour just to check in. They kept telling us to work with the machine, but it couldn’t scan some of our passports and it took a while to get help from the staffs. Also the credit card reader at that machine didn’t work for any of our card, and it doesn’t take cash, so it took time for the staffs to press a bunch of steps on their machine to use another pos to read our cards. While it took me only 15-20min at other hotels to check in because we can work directly with a human
The hotel is located on a busy street near Kuramae station, about 250m from Exit 6 (they have escalator up so you can bring luggage up). We took direct Airport train from Haneda Airport to Kuramae Station and it is very convenient. About 750m walk to Sumida Park, or Sensoji Temple, or Don Quijote Asakusa (I love this one because it is the biggest one I visited during our trip). There is a 7/11 and Aeon minimart opposite the road. But I like the Lawson that 500m away more because they sell many kinds of fresh fruit. The room is designed in a smart way that makes everything perfectly fit in the tiny area. The amenities are well equiped and refilled everyday. I read the reviews that they only clean the rooms twice a week, and you have to request if you want more. But luckily during our 4-night stay there, they cleaned our rooms everyday and refilled all amenities that we used. Good soundproof window so you hardly hear the noise outside despite the hotel is right on the busy street. They have onsen at 12th floor, but it is really small and most people come there to take a shower only. But better have than not. We decided to buy breakfast with the price of 1500y per person when we check in and suprisingly our parents really like those buffet. They have wide range of food choices, many kinds of fresh vegetables and fruit, not just lettuce salad like other places. They also have noodle, rice, bread,… The self-checkout process is very quick and convenient.

United StatesThe air condition was either too hot or too cold. Doesn't reflect the actual temperature on the thermostat. The air was also dry. Room kinda smelt sweaty and I found a big bug I had to deal with.
The amenities were great! Clean towels and instant coffee daily was very nice. The bedding was also good. It was quite and the staff and housekeeping were very nice and hardworking.

AustraliaThe only thing that lets this place down is the need to use the checkin machine at reception and also for luggage storage you have to scan a QR code and register and get another QR code for them to scan to retrieve your luggage. Sometimes getting more technology isn't such a good thing. The checkin machines don't always work if you booked through a website like booking.com. Also we have to use lobby wifi to organise the luggage storage as we dont have internet on our phones on holidays except for free wifi.
We have stayed here before and liked it so we came back again. Aren't APA's amazing! Like I get they are small rooms but they have everything you need!! And they are big enough for us even with a snowboard bag and a massive suitcase. From tea to roomwear and even a cute origami crane. Everything is always clean. There were free movies on the tv. We especially like this APA for the Onsen up on the roof. They even have an outdoor onsen and it has a view over the river to the skytree. We also had a room looking out towards the skytree this time too. Apparently you have to be up pretty high to get a view of the river aswell and they sell out fast but the view of the skytree and the cute kitty in the building next door was a nice surprise for us. They have luggage storage before and after checkin and a restaurant downstairs which does awesome pork bowls. Its a short walk down the street maybe 5-7mins to the elevator entry to Asakusa station to take the train back to the airport and about 15mins to Sensoji Temple. Theres also a couple of good ramen places nearby and several konbinis and a great bento box shop that also sells onigiri.

QatarDue to the limited space in the room, I do not recommend carrying large luggage.
The price is reasonable. Room with a high standard of cleanliness. Although the room was small, it had all the facilities and amenities I needed. Ideal for a short stay in the heart of Tokyo. Asakusa and Kuramae stations are within walking distance. The Express checkout was quite impressive.
