Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThe air in our room was very moist. I think the rooms (at least ours) could have benefited from a dehumidifier. It didn't harm our stay overall. The lounge area on the 14th floor wasn't very special. Definitely a decent place if you need to work but doesn't seem to be ideal for relaxing because the outdoor patio area gets very little sun and the snacks and beverages in the afternoon are pretty meager.
The breakfast and staff are phenomenal as is the lobby bar. The breakfast has traditional japanese as well as western options so there was something there for everyone. The staff do their best to help you out including helping us find the best sushi in the surrounding neighborhood, etc.

United KingdomOn the pricey side - we paid around £230 ($285/€268) per night for 6 nights. That was during early April though. Considering the distance from the more tourist areas of Tokyo it's a lot. However it's a really nice hotel in a more calm and quiet area so it depends on what you value. Door to door it will probably take around 30-40 minutes to reach Shinjuku - walking to Tamachi and taking the Yamanote line. The rooms are on the small side - but I guess that's just how it is in Tokyo?
Clean, modern and stylish hotel in a quiet area. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nice lounge area with free tea, coffee, pastries and even some alcohol options (at a certain time of day). Close to Tamachi (7-10 min walk), Shibakoen (3 mins) and Mita (5 mins) metro stations. Well away from the chaos of Shinjuku and Shibuya in a much quieter area which I loved, but that might not be for everyone from a convenience perspective. It depends what you're looking for. Plenty of convenience stores and food options in the area depending on what you want to eat. In the room you will have absolutely everything you need - they do the small things very well. Bed is extremely comfortable - you'll get a very good sleep.

United States of AmericaVery clean and great staffs. We check back in and our luggages were prepared in our room already, omg felt so comforting as if we come back to our home (temporary). Too that with a great city center view. It was so memorable during our last day that one of the staff helped us bringing our luggages with a cart downstair and when we want a family picture he came from inside to outside to help us take a pictures. As we were leaving, he came back outside after finishing with a customer to bid farewell to us with a bow. Love the people of Japan so courteous respectful and charming. I couldn’t ask for a better experience during our stay. Thank you for taking care of our family.

AustraliaNo self laundry. Meals in hotel restaurant are expensive.
This is our fourth stay at this property, so obviously we like it! It’s in a quieter, business area of Tokyo, but easy to get to tourist areas by train. Reasonably close to JR Tamachi and subway Mita stations - about 10 mins walk. We like this to be away from the hustle and bustle, but it might not suit everyone. The club lounge is included for all(?) guests so you can get a free fruit juice or tea or drip coffee any time, plus free beer and wine and snacks each evening from 5-7pm. Nice. Buffet breakfast was high quality with lots of choice. Great city view from room, especially at night. Street foods and izakaya zone right near the station - so about 7 mins walk from hotel gives lots of dining options.

DenmarkYou are not able to open a window and the room smells weird. The room was humid and the air was not well, even though there was an air filtration in the room.
Nice and clean, with a decent breakfast. Location was alright, near both subway and train station. Very nice view!

New ZealandThe restaurant closed at 9.00pm which wasn’t helpful for our 8.00pm arrival..by the time we settled in and wanted a bite to eat we had to go out. We found excellent choices 5 minutes away.
We were warmly welcomed and easily found our room. The room was very spacious which was what we wanted. I particularly liked the bathroom layout with a separate toilet, separate shower and bath room all within the bathroom area which included a sink, mirror and a huge variety of amenities. The face cleanser and moisturisers were excellent quality and the space allowed two people to get ready easily. There is a 24 hour lounge with tea and coffee and at different times of the day there are snacks and a ‘happy hour ‘ for 2 hours in the early evening. This was a chance to meet fellow travellers which was quite pleasant. We loved the breakfast at the downstairs restaurant. We just took the continental option (breakfast was not included in our room rate ) and it was very nice. We never found the second restaurant but I’m sure if I had asked we would have been pointed in the right direction. Our room had plenty of power points and a handy power adapter which was useful as we weren’t as prepared for the Japanese power system as we thought. Even more helpful was the ability to buy one of these adaptors at a reasonable price. The location of the hotel is a 7 minute walk from the Tamachi station which is two stops from Shinagawa . We found this quite convenient as this area isn’t super busy but there are many great eating options near the station. We would certainly return.

CanadaThis is a beautiful hotel with well-sized rooms for Tokyo and an attentive staff. It's got a grand lobby and even the walk to our room down the hallways showed a nice view of the courtyard. You could see Mt. Fuji from the distance in our room too. Like all hotels we visited, you're provided with pyjamas which is a nice touch in Japan. Staff were on hand to answer questions and offer advice, which lead to us being able to see the first sunrise of the year with thousands of other people, a Japanese tradition we didn't know about. We were also offered sake on the New Year and got to take home the cups, which was a nice souvenir and a testament to their attention to detail. The location is in a quiet area, with some residential streets but mostly work-oriented, which means there wasn't a great choice for restaurants and entertainment nearby. Luckily, several metro stations are in the area so you'll have no trouble getting to where you want to go.
