The bed mattress/spring was a little soft (you sank a long way!) but that’s hardly a complaint, more a question of style.

A convenient base for visiting Aso. What you expect - a small, clean guesthouse in a quiet suburb a few minutes’ walk from Aso station. Helpful information provided (by owner and on the wall) about local attractions, timetables etc.

I didn't eat breakfast here. The location of the accommodation. It's quite difficult to find. It's not specified as a Map Code or GPS, so it's not very accurate. It's assumed that the owner of the accommodation is aware of this point and has sent a notification. In the previous message, I arrived at the accommodation at night, which was later than what I had informed the owner of. The owner was still waiting for me, and he tried very hard to serve the guests. The owner of the accommodation is quite strict about cleanliness and discipline in living in the accommodation. Since the owner does not stay there, there are special rules. The host wiped down the luggage wheels of everyone's suitcases before wheeling them into the house.

Beautiful guest house with well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean. 10 minutes. walk from train station/bus stop. .V.comfy beds. Parking area if you have a hire car -- recommended because there's plenty to see over a very wide area. Lots of maps and info in kitchen area, although info is plentiful from offices at the station.

The wall is thin and you can hear people walking.

It was totally out of my surprise that a share-house can be this comfortable and clean. The place is much bigger and comfier than the other hotels we stayed during this trip. And the host was so nice that ask us about our trip the day after, and give us a lot of advice for how to visit Aso Volcano properly. It really feels like a home while we stayed there.

I paid almost 60 euros for one night, because it wasn't possible to make a reservation for one person. I didn't even get a towel, which would be nice for the price I paid. It was nice, still a little too expensive. They also refused to reduce the price even though I stayed solo.

The wall is thin, can hear all noises from outside the room. Even everybody in the house were very gentle and soft. But overall still acceptable.

We probably had the best room upstairs with the balcony. The staff are friendly and informative, good facilities, good kitchen, clean and quiet. If it had been full, then I think the guesthouse would not have enough showers or toilets, and you would need to wait. A good public Onsen a few minutes away.

Bring earplugs or buy them from the guesthouse! The walls are thin.

It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed and it was close to the station. Also, I was surprised when I got my own room, even though I thought I'd be in a dormitory. My feet did not get cold, because the floor had an insulation mat.
