Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RussiaI can’t think of anything. I mean yes, it’s not a 5-star hotel, and the wallpaper looks a bit worn out in places, maybe could be spruced up a little bit, but other than that thank you for a nice stay)
The room is exactly what you see on the photos, so, basically you get exactly what you saw on the pictures and paid for :) Japanese garden downstairs looks nice. Also it is convenient that there is an elevator. The staff was very nice, and people who stayed there were nice as well, I even talked to some of them :) I also slept well as the bed is pretty comfortable too.

AustraliaThere’s not many showers and toilets, so there could be a bit of a wait in the mornings, but it wasn’t an issue because you don’t have to wait too long between the facilities in each floor (toilets and showers on floors 2,6 and 10). It’s about a 15 minute walk from the nearest station, so the location isn’t perfect, but still perfectly manageable.
Good price, perfect for solo travellers. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but there were plenty of shelves for storage. It’s great if you’re looking for a place just to sleep after a day of sightseeing. Lawson right next door and a bus stop going to Asakusa, Ueno and further right on the front door.

IrelandThe windows are a bit tricky to open and close and there's no closed storage space in the rooms. The location was also further out than I thought, it's very much a residential area and a bit of a trek from the train station with suitcases. No major issues just things to keep in mind!
This was my first time staying in accommodation with shared bathroom and shower facilities, so I was really pleased to find them very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was at the end of the hall and had two cubicles with a sink, and a seperate 'washroom' for brushing teeth, drying hair etc. The showers were on another floor, seperated into mens and womens but there are individual cubicles in each so you should be fine if you are NB or just self-conscious. The cubicles are quite spacious, and also include a private dressing area. They give you toiletries, towels and robes. We stayed in a twin room, the beds were very comfortable with traditional looking covers. There's no wardrobe, just a railing for clothes but that was fine for us. There was also a large desk and mirror for getting ready and storing our suitcases under, and there's a mini fridge if you want to keep some snacks in the room. The staff were really nice and helpful with very good English. I was expecting this place to be a bit more self-service orientated, so it was nice that the front desk team gave us detailed information on check-in and made sure we were happy. We had a very short stay here and spent most of our time in the city, only coming back to sleep. However, I imagine if you spent more time in the hotel it could be a nice place to hang out, there were always plenty of friendly people and although it was very quiet it had a nice relaxing and fun atmosphere.

Nancy, the front reception was kind and helpful. I am having some issue with my next accommodation in kyoto and she helped me to resolve by calling the person in charged. The person in charged was not good in english communication and i was not able to get in touch with him.

JapanThe nearest metro station is about 15min walk. There are not many restaurants nearby (but they have a cafe bar inside). The room was not really soundproof because I could hear people on the passageway, which is ok for me but I guess light sleepers should know this.
The price was affordable for a single room compared to other hotels. There is a bus stop very nearby. I arrived earlier than the check in time and waited in the common area. The lady at the reception was kind enough to let me take the room 2 hours earlier than usual.
